* I have been eating like crap lately. absolute.crap. With busy weekends, football games, etc (excuses, excuses..haha) I have been eating a lot less healthy than than any person should... well.. any person not trying to clog her arteries... haha... I mean Saturday alone, I had Halloween candy, tailgate food (which may or may not have included TWO chocolate cupcakes), Backyard Burgers, and oh yeah..that awesomesauce street vendor hot dog after the Halloween party. Who am I?! LOL! Granted, I skipped lunch AND dinner on Friday b/c I was so busy.. I just snacked here and there...which again... not healthy. I'm rambling, but I needed an intervention b/c I was noticing that I felt more sluggish, etc...
The solution: WHOLE FOODS!
Mmmmmm! I think part of the issue is that I've been so busy, I haven't had a lot of groceries here b/c well...they just tend to go to waste. So went and bought some good-for-me stuff that works with my schedule (aka stuff that won't go bad super fast) :) I dont think it's a coincidence that I was watching Biggest Loser when I had this epiphany...lol!
Is it just me or do you also eat less healthy in the fall? Sheeeeeeesh...
* Something I LOVED today: Getting my Glamour....b/c well.. I love that every month.. but ESPECIALLY this month b/c our First Lady is on the cover! How freaking awesome is that?! The FIRST LADY is on the cover of Glamour! That's so Jackie O. Love it. :) Can't wait to read it when I hop in bed tonight!

I feel like I've been cheating a little by picking photos that aren't so "way back" but I just haven't scanned any new ones in.. I know. I'm a slacker. :( Sooooon. But I still wanted to participate and since we're headed to Nascar (aka Nasty Car) this weekend again, thought I'd post a pic from my first Nascar back in April!
People make fun of it, but really...it's actually quite fun! There are definitely some interesting folks, but there are a lot of normal peeps, too... They obviously don't get press though (kinda like how people with mullets somehow always make national news representing Oklahoma... Just sayin.. haha). I'm gonna wear my hat again b/c I bought it, but I shouldnt have just picked the (1) racer I thought was attractive and (2) the colors I liked....(whatever, don't judge me.. haha) b/c I think he kinda sucks...*shrugs*.. Now that I know more, I'd rather pick a couple other guys, but whatevs...Comedy...

* Oh and and and.. How did I almost forget this?! My friends and I got tickets to see NEW MOON on opening night!!! Sara text me at 8am and said "Kristy's getting tix to New Moon-you in?" I didn't even ask when, just wrote back "YESYESYES!" lol! Bring on the preteen screaming girls..haha! :) Plan: re-read New Moon starting....now. :)

Ok, so I'm not a magazine buyer.. but holy WOW that pic of Michelle Obama is gorgeous!! Love.LOVE the dress, and talk about strategically placed arms (or else skilled photoshopping) for that waistline. ill have to remember that for my next photo sesh! :)
On Nascar - being from Seattle I have ALWAYS thought this was a Totally ridiculous "SPORT" and didn't believe it when people told me it was the "most watched" sport - more than baseball/football - in the country. But THEN i went to the Daytona race a few years back, and WOW! so.much.fun. loved that you could bring your own personal cooler of beer! haha - we definitely saw some characters - most memorable perhaps the crew of definite white trash wearing matching shirts saying "100% Cotton Hand Picked by Yo'Mama" - buuuut there were tons of normal folks too and ... yes.. tons of fun. I'd love to go again:)
the first lady is seriously well dressed you have to give her that!! I still hven't read the books, but I've wanted to so bad, but I know I'd rather just block time for it....my goal for winter break ;)
That picture of you two at Nascar is absolutely adorable! I know what you mean about the whole "eating like crap" thing. I have definitely been in the same boat - especially with all of the activities we have had lately. Its so hard to always eat healthy, and we do the same thing... we don't go grocery shopping if we feel like its going to go to waste! So... here's to a week at least of healthy eating! (I say this after I just finished up a large bag of peanut butter M&Ms!)
I like seeing your pictures, that one of you at Nascar is amazing! I know the feeling about food. I am super bad at getting groceries too and when I am rushing around I usually get food to go as well. I try hard not too, but it is super hard! Well, at least you are aware of it so you can make the effort to find the health food! Plus you are darling so don't even worry. ;)

Ugh. I have been eating like total crapola too! It's like a downhill spiral. As soon as I eat one crappy food it gives me permission to continue for weeks...and weeks....and weeks. I finally went to the grocery store yesterday and stocked up on good foods! I'm hoping it works cause something needs to change!
I don't get Glamour anymore...but I am loving that picture of Ms. Obama. Cute dress!! I may have to run out and get a copy!!
Love the Nascar pic, hubby and I have one just like it, headphones and all! I've only been to once race, and I was dreading it, but it turned out to be a blast! And totally awesome people watching!

The re-reading has started in my house. My son, he's 5 LOL, loves Edward and the vampires. So, instead of his regular bed time stories we've been reading a couple pages from the book.
And yes, he's my date to the movie LOL

Oh girl, I have been eating SO much junk too! You're right, I think we all eat crap during the fall : ) It's all those good desserts and lattes with whipped cream....I'm getting hungry just thinking about it! : ) ha!

i am in the same boat as you my dear, i need a food intervention ASAP!!! i have been eating like crap the past 2 months and it's so not like me! even worse i haven't worked out in those 2 months at all either, i have to start being healthier.
ha! nasty car! too funny! my parents are nascar lovers ;) i've been to one race in pennsylvania and you will never believe this....i fell asleep at the race. we had really close seats and i didn't even have the earphones on, it was so noisy and i still dozed off. it was a lot of fun to have food and drinks before going in and doing lots of people watching ;) peopleofwalmart hang out at those races! haha!!

i love our first lady oh-so-much, hearing her speak at an election rally at UCLA last fall was just incredible. doesn't she have the most incredible STYLE? oh, and i'll totally be at a midnight showing of new moon, too. inner teenagers, UNITE!
Fall is fun for junk food..Its chilly and food and a fire just seem to fit! I just workout pretty much to eat..Not very beneficial Im sure! Wow, New Moon tix..Im jealous!!!
