Weekend Recap!

Yo yo yo! (Yes, I said that). How was the weekend?!

Friday night, Eric and I headed downtown for Tulsa Tough. Good times! We met up with Carrie and Chris down there and watched along with a TON of other people! :)

Okay, so we decided to grab sandwiches at Dilly Deli (I'd never been). They were way busy with the bike race going on and way understaffed.. so it was understandable that our order took abooooout 20 minutes..although it was annoying. Then, we got outside, proceeded to eat and I realized my turkey sandwich had.no.turkey. Awesome. I practically growled (I'm a cranky hungry person). Eric went back to defend my honor...or rather get my money back...and they gave him a gift card.  :)

Soooo we used it to get beer....(Chris and I below) haha!

The guy gave us a weird look and just crossed off the amount and deducted the beer...I found that absolutely hilarious for some reason... I'll go ahead and give them a thumbs up for their good customer service...and beer.
Cheestastic!
The professional bikers were fast.. in case you wondered...
Saturday, I had a hair appointment (which made me miss the baby lovin at Jenny bugs.. boo) then had to run what felt like a zillion errands. Eric met me and we knocked out some vacay stuff (shopping, printing itineraries, blah blah) I may have purchased another swimsuit. May have. But, it's cute and it was on sale. (rationalizing). Then, we went to Asahi for dinner b/c I was about to either eat Eric or kill him I was so hungry... (again with the cranky hungry person).

And dude.. Look at all the food you get there for like 10 bucks! And my soup isn't even IN the picture! If you haven't been there, it's just off 71st (more like 69th-ish) and Memorial behind Toy's R Us. It's a little hole in the wall sushi place, but it's pretty good and it's usually packed (always a good sign).

(I didnt have my camera on Saturday, hence the palm centro pics)

Neither one of us were feeling overly lively so we headed to the Riverwalk for some gelato (fantastic) and walked around a little before calling it a night. The guy who built the riverwalk is a genius. Period.

I told Eric to make an excited face. This is what I got... I'm just gonna go ahead and apologize now for our ultra cheesy vacation pics b/c they're gonna happen...a lot. :)

Today was laundry day. Alright, my apartment is charming. It really is. It reminds me of something that belongs in a big city-renovated, wood floors...anyway...Sometimes its charmingness (yes, I made up a word) is kinda overshadowed by the fact that it has no washer/dryer. Blah. Well, it has one of each, but they're little and they're 1.50 each. So when your laundry gets out of control, it's an issue when you can get like 3 pairs of jeans in the washer and spend like 5 bucks to wash and dry them.

So, I packed up the vehicular, grabbed G dawg and headed to mom's for a bit. Beforehand, I dumped the clothes on closet floor so I could sort them...and this is so perfectly demonstrative of every time I try to be productive around the apt... She sits in the middle of whatever I'm doing like "Whhhaadup, mom?! Look at me!" *sigh* :)
Hope you had a great weekend!! And did you see the preview of the New Moon movie on the MTV movie awards?! I cant wait til November!! I think I may re-read the book on vacay...Yes, I realize what you're thinking if you don't read the books.. and my only response is: read.the.books.

New Fun Photo Site...

Read about it in Women's Health today...It's called Be Funky! It's free and I've already saved it on my favs! Anyway, here are just three of the effects! How fun, right?!

Go play!!! Hope you're having a great weekend!

"I'll be back.." (and be more interesting hopefully).

I saw Terminator last night with Eric. Good stuff. It actually was pretty decent. The cheesy part came when Arnold showed up. Yeah. haha.. Comedy. I was going to head to the Utica concert stuff, but my allergies were practically screaming "GO OUTSIDE AND YOU'LL DIE!" so I opted to stay in the a/c.

I skipped lunch today in order to get some shiznit done and I wasn't that hungry. So of course, I'm starving now. *sigh*

Plans for the weekend? Me? Well..since you asked...haha.. likely hitting up Tulsa Tough at some point, have a hair appt and getting laundry done for my trip!!! YAY! Things that bug: Why is it that the day before a hair appt, I always feel like my hair looks good? Aggravating....

I started this blog earlier and thought "Hey, maybe I'll get more exciting.." Nope. Sorry. Didnt happen. But, have a great weekend!!!

My body is a wonderland...

I laughed at my title. B/c I have a weird sense of humor.

Here I sit and I feel like I spilled water on my right thigh. Did I? No. Yet, over and over I look to make sure. Why? Oooh b/c for the past couple weeks, my thigh has felt bizarrely wet off and on. Thanks to my friend, google, I now know it's due to my back injury in all likelihood. Wet leg brought to you courtesy of....nerve damage! YEEHAW! It should go away. If not, I'll call the doctor. (See I spoke too soon when I said I was done). Poop. haha.. Oh well, could be worse, right?! It feels so bizarre!!!

While I'm on the subject of stuff like this, you know what has helped my back more than anything? Butts n guts. Yup. Making my core stronger seems to have taken any remnant pain out of my back. It's awesome! I didn't really put two and two together until a girl I always talk to in my class was discussing her upcoming back surgery (her third one and she's 35). She was like "this is the only thing that makes it feel better...working out my core..." I realized she was right. Kinda cool, me thinks. We both always hang out in the back and exchange "areyoufrigginkidding" glances as the instructor yells with a chipper tone "Okay, just 50 more!"

Yeah, that was a minute or two of your life you'll never get back. Sorry about that.

Did you watch SYTYCD?! It's on again tonight! The final two cities before the real show starts next week! Tyce was an a**hole, but I laughed. A lot.

Did you hear about the plane crash at the skydive place in Skiatook? Everyone was okay, but that's where I went skydiving! Cuhrazy!!! I remember when I went, the camera guy (I bought a video) was supposed to jump out with us. He leaned up and the pilot saw his chute was partially out of the bag! That's BAAAAD! If he would have opened the door to jump, the chute would have caught the wind, opened and likely crashed us. My tandem guy said "dont worry-we would have jumped and survived." I wasn't scared til then. haha! We had to go down so the camera guy could get another chute. When we landed, my tandem guy was like "She got scared. We had to come back down" (only kidding obviously). That just hacked me off so I was determined to go back up. Such a fun experience! I should convert my video to dvd so I can put in on here... :)

Yeah, that's all I've got for you today...

Way Back Wednesday (WBW) :)

I told you we had a school bus... Please note it was called Baller Preparatory...Wow..haha! The bus was our intro as we entered the stage behind it (like we were on the bus) to Outkast's Rosa Parks .(which I'm now listening and dancing to on my sofa).
And for another WBW, for those of you who don't know, Kendall Bell is in what is now Bayless Plaza. When seniors finish their last final, they ring the bell to symbolize being DONE! :) I heard that bell ring many times before it was my turn. The seniors in my sorority all waited for everyone to be done with finals and walked over together and rang it then took a pic in front of the alumni center (which I totally couldn't find tonight).  Then, I went back and rung it with Blaze, too, when she was done with finals. :) What's funny... I forgot to ring it after my law school finals! I know, right?! Either that or it was under construction. I feel like the latter was the case actually...

Anyway, here I am sometime in early May 2003!
Happy WBW!

Back from Long Weekend + 8 Days til Vacay=Not Productive

My office isn't that far from the bathroom. At all. I mean.. It's probably 100 steps or so. So, why do I wait until I'm about to BURST to get up and go?! I do it a lot.... I act like it's the most inconvenient thing in the world. It's a bizarre self induced annoyance...

Also, I've been keeping a hair tie on my wrist lately and just looked and saw there were TWO. Um.. I know there weren't two earlier. Maybe they're multiplying. *shrug* Or maybe I had one already laying on my desk that I added without noticing. But, I'd rather think they're freakishly multiplying.

I booked our hotel for Miami (finally!). Did I tell you we're staying a night in Miami on the way down to vacay? So, now we just have to book one in NYC for the way back. (See, I told you it wasn't the most convenient, albeit affordable enough to make it worth it). Here's the deal. The Miami thing wont be a big deal. We land late at night. We take off early evening the next day. That's time to sleep in, eat some lunch and head to the airport. Cool. However, NYC is a different story, folks. We land late (think > 10pm -yes, I used the "greater than" sign.) at ONE airport and then take off at 6am from ANOTHER airport. Given customs, luggage and taxi ride to the second airport, we'll likely be in a hotel room for aboooout 4.5 hours. We're debating about a plan of action. We thought about shackin at the airport..haha.. b/c if we're at all delayed, there went the hotel room. Did you know there's a whole website devoted to that?! The poll to the side is hilarious. Anyway, we'll end up at a hotel, I'm sure.. but sheesh.. It's frustrating to check in, nap n check out again! (I just had a "Pretty Woman" type image.. nervous).

There's a guy in the office next to me going on and on about politics and how "it's all about stroke." I seriously am holding back an inappropriate comment.

Happy Tuesday, peeps! Oh, and thanks for the compliments on the swimsuit btw! :)

Memorial Day Weekend Recap!

Here I sit. Watching Here Come the Newlyweds on my DVR! YES! Already hilarious. :) I think I'm diggin' the young couple with the southern accents so far (The Cox's). And the Iengs are pretty comical, too... Currently laughing out loud at the "husband is blindfolded in his underwear" challenge. This.is.awesome.

As for the weekend, it was fantabulous! I got a lot done, relaxed some, hung with friends, enjoyed the weather...and here are some pics b/c they're better than me just yammering on. (good word: yammering). ;)

Friday: Happy Hour at the Wine Bar with Sarah! Didya know they have $4 wine til 7 for happy hr? (It's house stuff, but still!) I had no idea!! I shall be taking better advantage of this. *affirmative nod*
Saturday: Went to go see Baby Maddox with Brooke and Paul. He is so precious! I feel so lucky to have so many close friends having such beautiful, healthy, amazing babies!! Look at the little guy! Congratulations, Jenny and Jeff!

Saturday night, headed to White Owl for a little bit with Alove.

This is our swimsuit pose...
...which we tried to reenact at the actual pool on Sunday at her parents' casa.
Ashley got a ring out of a machine... that featured the Virgin Mary. Yeah. Out of a machine. Why do things like this happen when people visit from out of town?! *sigh*
Even Ellie got to take part in the pool festivities.. but I don't think she loved it.
Monday night, headed to dinner with Ashley and Sarah at Osaka...which I hadn't been to in forever! My fav: The birthday BONZAI! I have no idea why they call it that, but I think I'm going to shout bonzai on my birthday a lot b/c I love it.
As other people at the table turned down dessert one by one (even the creepy girl who kept staring at us and listening to our conversation), we all chimed in "sherbet, please!" Yeah, that's how we roll.
Oh, and did I tell you I found the swimsuit?! As in the one that made the ladies at Dillards give a happy sigh b/c it meant I wouldn't be returning and trying on a zillion more? Yeah. (Note: I always hung the ones up that I tried on, but still. When they recognize you, it's a problem.) So, now I have a few in case I fall, rip one or otherwise ruin said swimsuits. (Again with the clumsy Jax here.) OMG! I can't believe we leave in 8 days! I'm so excited!
And finally, here's Gracie and me... happy from a good weekend. :)
You know what else I got partially done? MY BED! YAY! It's about time, right?! Sadly, Eric was kinda sick all weekend (that blows, right?) but he still sniffled and coughed his way through helping me prime and paint most of the bed. :) It looks so good black. I can't wait to show you when it's all done!

Hope you had a great long weekend!

Being 'green' just cost me sanity + 30 minutes.

Okay, so I'm a paperless customer of Cox...both b/c I dont check my mail that much and b/c all that paper seems wasteful. I just tried to login to pay my bill and guess what.. their system has changed; everyone must re-register. Okay, fine. BUT, my old login doesn't work. In order to re-register, I need my account number ("Found on your paper bill.") Okay, thanks, Cox, but I dont have a paper bill. So, I call. And go through the rigamarole of the automated system to get me to a customer service rep who gives me my acct number. I hang up and realize I also need the pin number. I call back and go through this all again. This time, the guy says "well, I cant give you that over the phone. It's on your bill." *deep breath* Long story short, but he ended up having to reset my account. I have no idea why that was so dang annoying.

Since I'm the only one here, I'm sending out a ton of "hey, I need xyz" so people have to reply to me next week. HA! Dont you hate that when you return and have a zillion emails? Yeah. I actually need people to reply, though, so I'm not being a jerk on purpose.

I leave in TWELVE DAYS for vacation. On the twelfth day before my trip, I'm looking forward to.......(this is gonna be a countdown, people, in random order). 12. the smell of the ocean. :)

Have a fabulous Memorial Day Weekend!!! Hopefully I will be seeing some of you soon!

I just text Sara and said "I need a glass of wine." She responded "I need a bottle of vodka." (she had court today..) hahahahahahahahaha.. Awesome. Happy long weekend, everyone!

So you think you can dance (dance...dance...)

Ah, summer has begun when Kat kicks off the season with "So you think you con donce!" YES! I liked a couple people on tonight's ep, but really you cant rely on anything til the final peeps are chosen. My fav dance is still this one....I think. Sheesh so many to choose from. What's yours? And my fav dancer from last year's show is now a prof dancer on DWTC! (Chelsea)

Are you at work reading this? Huh? B/c if you are, please know I am the ONLY one in my department. Everyone else took the day off. *sigh* Hopefully Likely, (I consider figuring out the strikethrough a victory btw) ...I'll bail early. Big plans for the Memorial Day weekend? Me? Not really...and I'm okay with that. :) Alove is coming! And I get to go see Baby Maddox!! So, I guess those are two big events in and of themselves actually!

Oh, and did I TELL you about Old Navy? Okay, I go there and they rarely fit me. I end up pissed off in the dressing room that apparently I'm a freakish in-between size in all things labeled Old Navy and hate the ads which convinced me to go there. I consider it a personal victory when I find something there b/c they're uber affordable, right? Right. Okay, so, I went the other day and ended up with....two tank tops, a shirt, a linen skirt, a work jacket, flip flops AND a swimsuit coverup for...just under 100 bucks! ARE YOU KIDDING?! That's outstanding! Rarely do I spend a hundred bucks and think "AWESOME!" but yeah, I did. If you like long tank tops (aka the kind for us over 5'6 people), go now. GO.

Wow. This is really boring. I just talked about Old Navy. Sorry about that. I think my brain is on the 3 day weekend already...On to more exciting things.. baby Maddox!  If you haven't had a chance, swing by Jenny's blog (linked via Maddox above) and Congratulate she and Jeff or at least view the video of their awesome journey. Congratulations to the start of your new and fabulous little family! Love you! :)

Way Back Wednesday!

Hello and Happy WBW!!

The below pic is from my junior year in college right before Kappa Sig Olympics. Kappa Sig Olympics includes a big dance competition between all the sororities at the end of the week. Having some current pom members, ex high school dancers and the like, we took it very seriously...er...well..those of us who participated did. *laughing* Anyway, we choreographed, practiced, practiced and practiced some more...
I think we had four dances (?). All I know is I think our theme was "Bad"??or something to do with bad??? and I was in the first one where we started off with Bad to the Bone and ripped off our white button downs (to reveal tight tank tops...oooh so scandalous...haha) and shook our hair loose from the bandanas (again, what?! haha!) as the song changed to something faster paced (that I dont remember at all even though I danced to it.)

If I could name the top ten yearly collegiate activities I miss, the list would include Kappa Sig Olympics dancing. We always had so much fun! I think we brought a makeshift school bus on stage my senior (?) year.. I need to find those pics.

In other news, I have this bizarro fear that someone will try to steal my dog. Today, a *somewhat* creepy girl kept asking about Gracie and where I lived in the area, blah blah. Sure, she was nice enough...blah. I think I'm paranoid *that was supposed to be sung like in the song* Sheesh.

And I'm sad Melissa didn't win DWTS.. BUT.. guess what starts this week?! SYTYCD!!!!! Summer is just so awesome for so many reasons...*happy sigh*

Photoshoots in hospital gowns.

So, yesterday, I got in the car to head to work, Gracie in tow, reached up, and felt I'd lost my earring. *sigh* I had on a scarf and those are notorious for brushing my dangly earrings off. Arg. I was running extremely late if I wanted to make the groomer, so just mentally weighed earring vs the temporary end to dog hair dustballs and decided it wasn't worth it (even though I really love the earrings).

I got home with my newly coiffed pup and opted to scour the ground for my earring. A nice (likely homeless) man was walking by and asked if I could spare some change so he could get something to eat. I smiled *somewhat distracted,* reached into my purse and pulled out a few bucks, saying "Sure." He replied "God bless you, ma'am" and then "Are you looking for something? I can help." Absent mindedly, I replied "No...er..well.. I lost my earring, but dont worry about it..." For the next 3 minutes, my new 'friend' silently helped me look for my missing earring to no avail. The whole thing was just pretty comical...and sweet.. but comical...and a little awkward.

Anyway, in other news I have been thinking of must-pack items for vacation b/c let's face it...we're dealing with me aka injury prone central.
* bandaids
* neosporin
* tylenol
* amoxcillin (I've been injured, but never sick on vaca...I'd like to keep it that way.)
* hydrocodone (I broke my back this year, people. Anything's possible.)
* epipen in case I get bee stung (there's nothing as romantic as letting your boyfriend drive a huge injector into your thigh...Wait, wait.. yes there is...swelling up as big as a balloon and ceasing breathing. Epipen is coming fo sho.)

I'm a disaster. But, I'm a well-prepared disaster.

Speaking of injuries, I went to the back doctor last week.. and was told I dont have to return!! YAY! It's not that I've "healed" but I've healed to a point where the bone(s) are no longer compressing any further and I'm as healed as I'll ever be-which is great! In Oct, I was told I might not stand up straight fully again.. not to the point people notice....but I'll notice. Well, happy to say, that's not the case! I got the whole "other vertebrae making up for your spine's issues, so expect arthritis in 30 years" talk per usual and some explanation as to why my spine will forever have a TEENY curve-type thing, but I stopped listening after he said "You're doing great; you dont have to come back!"

My last hospital gown picture (in this office...for awhile...hopefully...Let's face it. No jinxing myself here). :)

I had to wait awhile. I got bored. I took pics of things. And I think I have the sense of humor of a 12 year old boy b/c do you see this and think it's dirty? Well, I did. hahaha...

Happy Tuesday! :)

My dog's a haute beast.

This is Gracie with her Don King hair yesterday.
And here she is with little green bows today! haha! She looks adorable, but I cant stop laughing at her for some reason.. haha... She looks pissed in this pic. She really wasn't.. hahahaha!
And here's what my average day looks like..rephrase.. looked like. Thank you, haircut Gods, you have saved my sanity.
Some other things...
I may have just ordered a swimsuit and gotten the notification that it will arrive...wait for it...the DAY before we leave for St. Lucia. *oops* I'm betting it's here sooner. *nervous face*

And I just saw an ad for the show Here Come the Newlyweds!! YES! I freaking LOVED that show last summer! Dont know what I'm talking about? Here!

Good Gawd, it's funny! Don't wanna go to the link? Fine, lazy. ;) 9 newly married couples move into a house together and compete for an awesome cash prize and vacation. They come from all different backgrounds...last year a couple had eloped in Vegas, another had dated since elementary.. anyway.. they have challenges and get points on things like how well they know each other, how well they communicate (read: verbally direct your blindfolded spouse while they're driving a car). Anyway, love it.

What else? Oh, this is pretty funny, too. What if characters on Lost actually told the truth

Yeah, that's all I have for you today...a bunch of randomness. Maybe I'll be more exciting tomorrow. *shrug*

Weekendtastic

FINALLY! The rain has stopped!! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty damn good. The snotfest that is my allergies seems to be getting better every day, caught up on some sleep I lost while having said cold, and hung with friends...No complaining here.

Eric and I headed to my friend, Tadd's, birthday at Oscars and although I didn't take many pics, I think I love this one. :)
We got back from Tadd's party and discovered Eric's neighbors were having a party (college peeps). So, we hiked over there right into the center of some beer pong, etc... and took a LOT of extra beer he had laying around from something. Okay, we didn't exactly stay to re-live our college days or anything, but Eric is officially the cool neighbor we all wanted in college... Just sayin.

Today, his fam got together to celebrate some recent bdays so we went. :) Please see what happens when you tease your 9 year old cousin while he's carrying a water gun...

Dont think he's gonna get you, huh?
So you should definitely taunt him...
Sh*t! (side leaping out of the way..bahaha)
And the pursuit ensues...
Eric lost. I just didn't have the camera up in time b/c I was laughing hysterically (and hiding on the porch).

And check it out! A birdie laid eggs in the pot outside my window!!
At first, it was totally freaked, but now it doesn't even care that I open the window... I've become quite fascinated watching another bird come while this one flies off for a bit (likely to get food.. my hypothesis since I now consider myself a bird expert apparently).
G dawg has a haircut appt tomorrow. Keep in mind I'm a bit paranoid about groomers (long story), but it's time. She's a hairy beast and my rugs can't handle it. And after a walk, she's so hot, she beaches herself on the wood floor to cool off.. like below... So, it's time.

This is her face when I said "Gracie, you're getting a haircut!"
I think she's concerned...
This is my bone. I would like it to come to my haircut. Thank you.
Alright, hope you had a fab weekend and enjoyed some of the nice weather. Desperate Housewives and Lost are both calling my name...Thank you, tv Gods, for re-airing Lost. :)

Update: I watched Lost. My opinion: Okay, as far as season finales go, that kinda sucked. I like Juliet so killing her is kinda craptastic even though her bipolar decision making was annoying this episode. I have to admit Jacob's enemy taking over Locke's body was a huge surprise...as in holy-no-freaking-way-awesome! But, once I figured it out, I really wanted Richard to save the day, so that's crap. And I didn't like the bomb storyline going on for the past few eps only to end like that. I liked how Jacob showed up in all their pasts.. like I sat there thinking "ooh! how's he gonna do it this time?!" If Jacob has lived since the 1800s (thank you lostpedia), how can a petty little knife take him out like that?! He didn't even seem to care thus I am hoping he isn't dead. His line to Ben "what about you?" was prolly the best line in the whole episode. Kate continued to bug as did Jack per usual. I still heart Miles. And finally, they let us know it will be 2010 before we see the final season. I'm saddened by how long I have to wait..and that it will be the final season of my favorite show I've ever watched. *sigh* Theories abound til then... Much like Chris, I was a fan of the book Jacob was reading and likely the symbolism that parallels. Interesting me thinks.. Interesting indeed.

Friday List.

Work has been BUSY today and..I dont feel like I have that much to say. (for once). ;)

Sooooo...a list...

1. It's supposed to rain tonight. That makes me want to shriek bad bad things at the top of my lungs.
2. Some company, somewhere, makes a perfume that smells like bug repellant. I've smelled it on a couple people in passing and I immediately feel like I'm on a camping trip. Just sayin.
3. My cold is almost GONE! However, I sounded like a boy going through puberty at most of my meeting yesterday.. cracking voice and all.
4. The guest speaker's handheld powerpt clicker broke during his presentation yesterday. He had no idea. So, I sat back there and clicked the slides when he'd press the button. It was quite hilarious b/c he had over 60 slides and would often be like "this darn remote isn't working very well.." hahahahaha.. Easily entertained=me.
5. My weekend goal: find and purchase swimsuit...preferably one I like. Whatever.
6. Lost is re-airing on Sunday at noon, people!HOORAY!
7. Grey's made me bawl last night. And uh, I didnt watch grey's from day one... so I had no idea that 007 was George until she screamed it out loud. Then, the tears came. So, I was kinda operating on dos (the old computer system) most of that whole sequence.. a leetle slow. Sheesh. haha!
8. I'm so excited for this weekend! I dont know why. I just feel like I'm going to get a lot done.. One can dream, right? :)

Have a fabulous Friday and weekend!

Weather Dude 1, Lost 0.

Okay, really...there's some thunder. REALLY?! Do you need to go on and on about it during the SEASON FINALE of Lost?! At least it's decently crappy outside. If it wasn't, I'd be calling channel 8 and telling them to shove their doppler 8000 somewhere... UGH.  So, I will be avoiding any and all entertainment websites tomorrow.*sigh*
Tonight, butts n guts, quick change at the gym to DC dinner at Beth's. What's DC? Oh.. deuces club... What is that? Well.. for some reason (read: we were likely drinking) we started throwing up "deuces" in pics and it all started there...haha.. Basically it's a photo op and a title for our dinner group... ;)
We decided to eat (1) healthy and (2) cheap. So we all brought a healthy snack and gabbed about life...Oh..and I got my corona! YES! ha! (see left of veggie tray) :)
Off site meeting tomorrow will keep me from stalking our local abc website (read: writing annoying emails to the station) about rebroadcast info. *sigh*

Monk-e-mail!

Alright, I'm admittedly on a ton of allergy meds and a bit loopy...but I was cracking up so hard when someone sent me one of these earlier that I had to make one and share...

CLICK HERE. (and no, it's not bad if I can open it at work).

Alright, enjoy the sunshine today, peeps!! :) My cold is doing a little better. Thanks for all the well wishes!

WBW (Way Back Wednesday) :)

Here I sit. Breathing through my mouth. Pack of tissues beside me. Stupid allergies. I think I have a cold...and I think it's on it's way out. Hopefully.

This is from my first year in law school (fall o3) after the law school halloween party. Some of us went to the Bowery afterwards and I ran into these lovely ladies! I miss the Bowery.... Just sayin. Anyway, I recall this being a very fun night full of dancing, photos and hilarity. :)
And doooood...I think I hate finding a swimsuit. Sheesh! I've been trying on, shopping online and basically throwing myself into a tizzy. Arg. Anyway, if you have recommendations, I'm accepting them with open arms. Gracias. :)

Despite my allergies, I've wanted a Corona all week. I dont know where it's coming from, but it needs to happen soon before I get a 6 pack at home by myself.. haha..

And... do you KNOW what Wed night is?! DO.YOU.KNOW?! LOST SEASON FINALE!!! I have a dinner thing first so I will not be checking fbook or anything else til I come home and watch it...

Happy Hump Day. Hopefully I wont be a sneezing disaster tomorrow! I sniffle and my nose makes a funny squeaky noise. It's hot. Be jealous.

Weekend Pics

I will be in bed by 11:15.. I will.. I will.. Hopefully.. *sigh* I left work early today b/c my head felt like a balloon. Stupid allergies. *sigh. Please note, I made it to my butts n guts class and sniffled through every crunch and leg lift.. Thank you very much. Hmph! :)

These are kinda out of order, but whatever...

Saturday, Eric and I worked the Full Moon Run since his work was one of the sponsors. The job they gave us: Beer sales. Not bad, me thinks....Eric rounded up some TU peeps for volunteering even though only a couple actually work with him...

The organizer said we could keep the tips. We all exchanged a glance like "Are you serious?!" Please see our homemade "tip cup." Then glance at the wad by end of the night! We were shocked! haha! There were 6 of us and we each walked away with 19 bucks... We also had awesome food and free beer...All in a day's work, people.. All in a day's work... ;)
The whole thing was really fun...even if I did catch a cold or aggravate my allergies...*shrug*:) I had no idea so many people came out to it.. They even had a band whose name was...wait for it...wait for it.. Zed Leppelin... They were pretty good, too!

It was, however, pretty cold...especially when sticking one's hands in ice to grab beer repeatedly...
Friday, a small group of us went to Stonehorse... I have no idea what's going on here...
And finally some pics from my dept meeting last week in STL..

When I fly through STL, I seem to always get stuck there...and I seem to always land in Tequileria (?) having nachos. Anyway, this sign never fails to amuse me..
This is the communications team. :) These peeps are in charge of everything from strategy, speeches, etc to intranet, newletters, magazines.. to event planning. Go team! :) They're good peeps. And I dont think any of them read my blog, so I'm being honest here...haha!
And finally, I liked the swine inspired table decor so much I took a picture... :)

Must go to bed now.. Must go.. (like my affirmations?) G'nite everyone!!!
