Before I get into the recap, have to be sure to post this awesome little guy! Cooper was born last week and I'm so glad I was able to sneak away from work for an hour or so with Jenny and Brooke to visit mama and baby! :) Welcome to the world, Cooper!

Ashley and Cooper :) I'm so so so happy he's here, but I have to admit I'm going to miss my email and frozen yogurt break time friend for 12 weeks! (We work in the same building) :)

Me, my awkward bangs, and baby Cooper :)

Friday rolled around and Eric and I opted to switch things up (no Mexican restaurant *gasp*) and head to Skiatook Lake (about 20-25 minutes) to grab dinner at the lakeside grill at Cross Timbers. If you're in the area and looking for something different, I highly recommend. It's nothing fancy-I had a quesadilla and Eric had a burger-but sitting outside overlooking the lake with a little breeze as the sun went down, sipping a beer, isn't a bad way to spend a Friday night. :)

Eric "You're not scared of spiders, are you?"
Me "Not really, why...OHMYGOSH! That thing is HUGE!"
*meet our friend who came to dinner, Mr. Tarantula*

Our view from our table.. :)

Saturday, I was so.freaking.productive. I worked out (I'm really getting proud of myself with my gym streak lately, although I'm an admitted binger and purger on workout weeks...all or nothing...not good), came home and did yard work, came inside and cleaned the wood floor and mopped the kitchen floor, and cleaned the bathroom.
Eric digs Anthony Bourdain so I'd gotten us tix to see him live in Tulsa awhile ago. :) And I don't know if I told you, but he passed his most recent CPA exam (YAY!!!!!) so I opted to surprise him with dinner at his fav place, Stonehorse. :) We hadn't been in forever (that's code for dessert was totally justified...)
The show was really funny... He opened it up for questions at the end and I'm pretty sure he now thinks all Tulsans are idiots. Way to represent, peeps. Wow. A drunk woman, a woman telling him he was her "dirty chef daddy" or something to that effect, and lots of other people. At.the.performing.arts.center. Wow. And also, since when did people think jeans and shorts were okay for the performing arts center? Sheesh. Anyhoo, good show. Good show indeed. :)
Oh and one thing that made me never want to eat hamburgers again.. He said a process is approved in the states whereby meat is soaked in AMMONIA to make the parts we never used to eat now safe for consumption. I came home and researched and..yeah..
he was right. So.grossed.out.

Met up with some friends at Enso, a little downtown cocktail lounge afterward...

Sunday, went to go visit the new parents, Ashley and Lee. :) I think I'm in love with their child. He's so freaking adorable, peeps. I mean seriously.. just scroll back up and look at the pic... See? Adorable.
Then, ran errands and came home to find little G limping and whimpering. I picked her up and she nestled her head into my chest and closed her eyes as she held up her foot in pain. 5 minutes later, we were en route to the vet... Seems poor little pup has torn some tissue or sprained her leg jumping up and down. :( If it doesnt get better in 48 hours, we're going back for (very expensive) xrays. Cross your fingers for my little pup that nothing's broken. They didn't think it was.
She's getting crated tomorrow, but shhh she doesnt know (not that she'll care..haha). Here she is eating laying down, which she never does. Poor baby!

Okay, I've rambled enough. :) Tomorrow night, Eric and I have a black tie event and I'm kinda excited to get all dressed up! Pics soon! Hope you had a great weekend!
