Weekend Recap + Random Stuff :)

Hiya friends! Well, I don't have much of a weekend recap b/c I didn't do a whole lot, buuuuut.. let's see..

Friday night, went to Crossfit! I'm seriously pretty proud of myself for sticking with it. I hate even saying that for fear I fall off the wagon. I know lots of you gals work out three+ times every week and I give you SO many props. I have issues with the whole self motivation thing, so that's why I like having classes. Anyhoo, did that on Friday night and then rewarded myself with sushi with a friend I dragged with me to Crossfit. :)

Saturday was spent packing. I know... kinda soon to be packing up since I'm not moving til later next month, but I want to try to do as much as I can on the weekends so I'm not stuck at the last minute having to do EVERYTHING. I'm sure I'll have enough last minute stuff to keep me occupied...haha... Plus, my roomie's boyfriend is moving into OUR house! :) So, I move out and he moves in... so if I don't get organized, something tells me our boxes are going to get confused and stuff will be everywhere. Imagining that makes my blood pressure rise from anxiety.. haha..

Saturday night, Eric and I ate Mexican food and rented Rise of the Planet of the Apes. I spent the first 45 minutes being annoyed that the monkeys were being mistreated and googling whether there was any abuse in the movie I'd have to witness. I seriously HATE movies where animals are abused, die, get sick, etc. I kinda refuse to watch them actually. I know it's just a movie, but it makes me so sad! I was rooting for the monkeys.

So yeah.. that was the weekend! :)

As an aside,  I think it's that time of year where your mind wanders to summer and relaxation and sundresses and yada yada... Thought I'd quickly share some of the randomness filling my daydreams lately...

*** A beach vacation.
Lanikai Beach, Hawaii
Am I taking a beach vacation? No. And saving money does not = beach vacationing. But, it's on the brain. *sigh* I start thinking beach every year around this time...

*** A massage.

Doesn't this random stranger look so happy? :)
Maybe this one's just b/c my muscles are consistently tight thanks to my new found activity of getting my arse off the sofa and in the gym.

***Eyelash extensions.

I've read a few of your posts about them and I really want some! How long do they last? Awhile, right? Like 60 days? My lashes have never been long and flirtacular. Eric has longer lashes than I do and I give him hell for it! ha! (How are men often blessed with such gorgeous lashes? Seriously). Anyway, any Tulsa girls been to Wink? I've seen their storefront a few places and wonder about them.

So yeah, I'm basically in the mood to put a pina colada in my hand, get some eyelashes, a massage, and head to the beach... haha..not necessarily in that order. Probably not good considering winter is nowhere near over...

Oh and last but not least.. Thank you all for your kind words about Eric and me moving in together! :) I smiled with every sweet comment! You guys are kiiiiiinda awesome. And by kinda, I mean really!

I think that if/when you and Eric decide to get married, Mexican food HAS to be on the menu. Seriously. You two are addicted!! :)

I want everything that you want! Especially the beach vacation and the massage. I want you to get the lashes and give a review...hmm...maybe you should see if you could get some complimentary lashes for your thoughts! I'd love to look all Kardsashian, but wouldn't have the guts! People would probably think you are famous. (I mean even more than you already are!)

Ok so many things to say about this...
1. After your post about crossfit I was driving to work and noticed it on the side of the road! I don't know how long I have been driving by and never noticed. Still haven't looked into it though...slacker.
2. I need a massage too
3. I want to try fake eyelashes too
4. I am the same way about animals in movies. I hate westerns bc the horses get hurt and I wont watch water for elephants bc I heard they get abused.

Woofta, big news that I missed! You two are moving into together!?!?!? So, so, SO exciting! IT will be great!

I actually got eyelash extensions before my wedding 3.5 years ago. I really liked the way they looked, but they only lasted about two weeks. And the worst part was, when they fell off, they took my real eyelash with them and made my eyelashes less full than before. I feel like my eyelashes are still not back to normal! Now, that was 3.5 years ago, so maybe they have better technology now. Just thought I'd pass that along ;)

Congrat on moving in! That is so exciting and awesome!

Also my lashes were awful so I tried some stuff called neu lash before my wedding. It is awesome. It's a little pricey but the tube has lasted me a year and I've got lots of compliments on my lashes!

Good luck with the move! We're (well my parents since I'm in college) in the process of moving to a new house. We don't actually move in until Feb 3 but we've been moving smaller things in for almost a month- it makes moving SO much easier when you're organized.

Movies- don't watch Water for Elephants. I read the book and was so excited for the movie..until I remembered the abuse. I bawled my little eyes out while watching it. just a warning :)

I also have long eyelashes (but the ends of them are blond) but my BF has wayyy more beautiful lashes. Boys shouldn't be allowed to have better eyelashes than girls, it's just not right!

I feel like winter has been dragging on for forever and we still have months to go! I'm glad I"m not the only one dreaming of a beach vacation...sigh.

Little late to the party, but I'm so excited for you and Eric to be moving in together. I moved in with my the boyfriend (now husband) in June last year, and it is AWESOME.

Also, A massage would be fantastic.
