Last night, Kelli and I went to a presentation. She won a trip to VEGAS and we had to go sit through something in order to receive. Ever heard of that? Yeah, well..it was comedic.
First of all, the fact she's taking me might make me pee myself I'm so excited even though there are quite a few stipulations. Second, what we sat through last night was definitely worthy of a prize.
We watched a guy speak, tell lame jokes, and have some issues with sweating for about 30 minutes. From there, a nice gentleman with track mark scars told us all about the options we could purchase from their company.
Knowing we just had to get through this hell in order to go to Vegas, we listened.
Track Marks: "So, you ladies can just put down 1300 today and pay a mere 150 a month and travel ANYWHERE in the WORLD."
Me: "*points at 1300* Sir, do you understand that's about what I pay in student loans per month?"
Track Marks: "Well, ladies, what number works for you? Give me any number...any number at all.."
Kelli: "......5 dollars..."
I dont think he liked that. Keep in mind.. he liked us enough initially to tell us about his ex wife smuggling pot in her panties at the airport. *um, yes, I'm serious*. But, I think the "5 dollars" made him realize we weren't in it to win it... We just wanted to V-town sin city lovin.
With that, the salespeople's eyes that once glistened when we'd uttered the words "yeah, we're lawyers" grew dim. A few final ditch attempts and they let us have our Vegas trip without further remark. (after 2.5 hours of being there).
Long story short, WE'RE GOING TO VEGAS, B*TCHES (but not within 7 days of a holiday or without planning 60 days in advance...or leaving on any other day besides Mon, Tues or Wed) Whatever.. we're going to VEGAS!!! :))))

haha, my parents had to sit through one of those when we were IN vegas one year, so we could get free tix to a show or something. they said it was so not worth it. lol, but hey, you stuck it out! good for you! and yay for vegas!
Did I tell I get to go to Vegas at the end of June. And I didn't have to listen to someone try to sell me something. I wish your trip didn't have the 60 day stipulation because we could've been there at the same time.
