Because I'm a lawyer...

Because I'm a lawyer... (or b/c I'm just me...whatever)

1. I love researching arguments. Love.it. You dont believe me when I say "x"? Okay, hold on...lemme pull up my laptop.

2. I like to have all the facts. If I'm missing them, it drives me insane...especially if I feel like I'm missing them b/c YOU'RE not providing them. I become a sleuth and try to figure it out anyway.

3. Giving me time to cool down sometimes works.... But, most of the time, it just makes me little brain work through the facts as if I was in CSI, giving me a chance to further support my argument. In law school, you're told you pick an argument and defend it. If I dont have all the facts and am left alone with my thoughts, I subconsciously defend my argument in my head until I'm confident there is no other answer.

4. I HAVE to understand. HAVE to. A friend actually pointed this out awhile back and it's the most accurate assessment someone has made of me in awhile. I like to be understood..like in an argument..if someone refuses to see my side in any way, I become impossible to deal with. (*read: total and complete bitch*). If, however, it's ME that doesnt understand b/c someone isnt trying to make me understand their side or why they think the way they do, I become just as impossible b/c I begin to find the other person untruthful.

5. If you're honest with me, I'll be honest with you. If you're dishonest with me, my moral compass points a little less than in your direction...

What sparked all that, you ask? Well, I was deep thinking about my need to understand things and I started reflecting on other things... :) I'm not grumpy or agitated as it may sound...well...no more than normal. ;)

So, last night, went to the FAIR! It was awesome tastic. (In case you havent noticed, I've started adding 'tastic' to everything)

I cant WAIT for the weekend, people! Homecoming! WOO HOO!!!! :))))
