I drafted a blog. Then it went away. You will see my frustration as I RE-DRAFT what I wrote. I am departing my puppy perkyville for this.
Letter to people that live in my apt building:
Neighbors,
We have two lights in our main foyer. TWO. One upstairs, one down. You know this. You also know where the switches are located. How do I know this? B/c I realize you're not incompetent or blind. Then, why, oh why, am I the ONLY one who EVER turns the lights OFF? It can be sunny and bright...like my mood with a cocktail in my hand...and you will STILL leave it on. I turn it off when I'm there, but inevitably, due to your inability to work collaboratively to conserve the bulbs, they burn out. Then, we are all left to use our cell phones to find our keys and trip on the stairs until the landlords come fix it. While I'd like to think we're all of average intelligence, I am beginning to wonder about all of you. It's a switch, not brain surgery. Just do it.
Love,
Your light-loving neighbor.
SECOND:
Letter to the woman from PetSmart last night:
Lady,
Hello again. You might remember me from last night as the person you, your slightly-dirty child, and your flea bag dog were shopping next to. How do I know he was a flea bag?? Well.. b/c you TOLD me as I looked down to see him making friends with MY flea-LESS dog. The whole time, you giggled and said "haha.. I missed the flea bath time.. I guess they're closed" as your poor little dog scratched uncontrollably. Did you really think that was funny, lady? Yeah? Cause if so you might just be a candidate for a Darwin award this year. Thanks for taking your poor, itchy puppy around PetSmart to contaminate all the dogs. That's so thoughtful of you. I also have to thank you for my lunch break today...in which I sat on my floor of my bathroom with tweezers, picking a hanful of fleas off my defenseless puppy...allllll thanks to you.
I pity your puppy, your children..and even the fleas that associate with you.
Sincerely Yours,
Responsible Pet Owner.
** Gracie also had three ticks!! I guess she got them outside. :( I'm headed to get some Frontline after work thanks to recs from Shelbs and Kel. I looked and it's puppy-safe. If you know the name of a good puppy/doggie shampoo, I'd appreciate it, too.
***Oh..and I hate the rain, too. It doesnt make things green. It makes them muddy. That is all.

lol, i love your letter to the lady at petsmart, cracked me up. and gracie is uber-adorable. i am so impressed with you, being all responsible. i can barely remember to do laundry for myself and sammy, i know i'd be a horrid pet mother. horrid.
woof.
Puppy Shampoo=Baby Shampoo i believe.Johnson and Johnson or something like that.
When he is like 4 or 5 months i think you can get a dog shampoo. You want Relief bath. It is more expensive but rules. You have to get it from a vet though.
