I MIGHT GET A PUPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, so... here's the deal. I did a SHITLOAD of research on dogs when I was looking lots... and determined that I REALLY wanted a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. (Charlotte's dog from Sex and the City)

These are the criteria I looked at...

1. I will have this dog when I have kids (look at me being all adult)...so it has to have a good temperment with kids..

2. I dont want it to shed a lot.. I understand dogs shed, but just not A LOT..

3. No major problems.. like hereditary ear, eye, etc problems...

4. Good in an apt...

5. Small dog.. not TINY small..but small...(enough for an apt)

6. Soft.. Yeah.. thats a lame category..but I like soft dogs..

7. A girl.. so it could get along with my mom's dog if/when I drop it off when I go visit Chicago or have a work trip or something... Plus, Shelby's dog is a boy and so a girl would get along with it if she was kind enough to watch it...

8. Trains easily....well.. as easily as a dog can train.. :)

Sooooo.. I looked and saw the Cavaliers are seriously 1500 bucks.. cheapest puppy was like 900.. YIKES!@ Go figure I like the pricey puppy, right.. :) So... then I left the firm and thought that it wouldnt be fair for the puppy if I got a job where I traveled a lot... or if I moved. So, I quit looking. The past few weeks, I've been thinking again about a dog.. and get this!!!! My friend called me today... who rescues puppies.. and she "had the perfect dog for me" I thought "yeah... right" So, I asked her what it was and she said.... "A King CHARLES!!!!" So.. here's the deal.. She got it, cant keep it, and is gonna give me an awesome deal on it!!! So, Im gonna go see it Monday.. :)

Wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!! I really want her.. I know its a big thing.. and a serious move... so.. cross your fingers! She said I could try it out and see if I like it for a couple weeks!! :)

That sounds like the perfect arrangement! It's awesome that you can keep her for a few weeks to test the waters. What luck! If you do get her, does she already have a name you have to keep, or can you change it?

I think it's time for a COMH too :)
