Give speech to boss's secretary (BS)
Phone rings.
BS: Hi! Um, boss wants you to tweak the speech a little.
Me: Okay, how?
BS: Well, she wants to make it more passionate, have it "tell a story"..really have it elicit emotion. She feels very strongly about this cause.
Me: "Okay, she knows she has a minute to speak and she's just accepting an award on behalf of the company, right?"
BS: "Yeah. But, I guess she wants a minute of passion."
Dont we all, BS, don't we all.
