Just another morning in "tornado alley"

It's spring in Oklahoma. You know what that means....

Last night. Me. Sleeping. 3am awaken to sirens. Half asleep but decide to ignore them. They KEEP going off..so I reluctantly get up. Afterall, the ONE time I dont is the one time I should have...

Anyway..get up, flip on the news.. realize I really am in the path of rotation (which is strange for where I live...rarely happens). I look at myself and think "crap. I better put on some more clothes." (Yes, THIS is my thought..not "hey, i might blow away tonight") I put on sweat pants, bra, tshirt (I'd originally had on a tank top and shorts). Half asleep, I also put on my flip flops. Sat back down on the sofa with Gracie in lap still kinda squinty with hair a total mess. Decided hiding laptop in linen closet was a good idea. (What?! Yeah, I said I was half asleep). I didnt want to lose all my photos my french doors blew open like they sometimes do in storms.

The thought crosses my mind
"We have a storm shelter...but I dont even know how to get into it... I wonder if my neighbors are up...Hmm..."

Opted to watch more storm coverage before I took cover with the dog.

Storm blew over. Then storm TWO hit...with hail...a LOT of hail.

Got BACK up, totally paranoid that the sirens had been knocked out by a twister and I was actually in the path of a funnel.

Obviously OCD b/c that was not the case. Went back to sleep at about 4am.

Promised myself to call my neighbors today in case I have to take cover-ever. (Keep in mind I've lived there 2 years and think this thought after every storm). Lull into dreamland thinking "I should put snacks in the storm shelter...."

Lord.

I didn't get any sleep last night either because of it. Every time the storm woke me up I would flip on the tv, curse it for being so bright and loud, watch to make sure I wasn't go to die, then try to convince Andrew to go take down the wind chimes because they were SO LOUD with the wind. Oh well...hopefully tonight will be more calm!

Jax! I found your blog! You'll have to check mine out. I'm obsessed with blogging and LOST as well. Hope you are doing well and I found your blog through Blaze's, just so you don't think I'm a weirdo. Wait, I am a weirdo, but you know what I mean.
