5 minutes- time it took for me to calm down. (I was a little miffed)
10 minutes- time it took to go get G money
3 websites- all it took before I freaked out
20- amount of minutes before I was sitting at Woodland West
Convo with Dr. Mike Jones (his name is Mike Jones..awesome) and 60 dollars later made me feel better. We treated her as though she'd ingested the poison, but thankfully it wasn't the kind that is immediately fatal. BUT, the reaction to rat poison might not show up for 10.days. AND it causes internal bleeding. slowly. :( This one is reversed in dogs by taking Vitamin K, so that's what she's on. Better safe than sorry. What an evening!
Seeing her at the vet's is amusing, though...I hold her and she puts one paw on either side of my neck and holds on for dear life. I'm serious. You'd crack up if you saw it. She puts her head on one shoulder almost as if she's hiding her face, shakes, and digs her feet into my shoulders until I pry her off to put her on the table. It's ridiculously pathetic and cute at the same time.
Most importantly, she's okay. But what an evening. When I have children, I pity their pediatrician. *sigh* haha...
