Lying and Cheating...Advice Needed

I know I know.. I'm a lawyer. These things should come naturally.

Tomorrow at 9am I have an appt with my stylist.
Tomorrow at 4:45, I have an appt with another stylist.

I'm getting it dyed at the old faithful...and cut somewhere else. *Nervous* I love my stylist as I've said many times, but she's not the trendiest when it comes to cuts. I've told her...and I dont think she understands fully what I mean. Sooo it's time to give someone else a shot. He recently cut my friend, Sara's, hair and he did a great job...so we'll see! But, I dont trust him enough to let him dye it (lest we remember the Anna Nicole Smith job someone did on me years ago when I cheated last time. I had to go CRAWLING back to my stylist to beg her to fix it. It was pathetic.)

So, here's the hard part... options:
1. Lie 1: "I'm thinking of growing out my hair.. I dont want it cut this time." (However, she could try to trim it if I say this to keep it healthy).
2. Lie 2: "My friend works for Clary Sage and I'm gonna be a volunteer for her for something they're doing so they're gonna trim it..." (Please note: I've used this before...over a year ago...and it worked) (yes, Blaze, I used you. And I might do it again). ;)
3. Lie 3: Anything else. ("Friend got her license and is giving me a free cut" or "Got it cut at my conference in Vegas" or "Got a gift card for a spa day from my boss/friend/dog that includes a haircut.")

Problems: If I dont let her cut it, I have to come up with a story as to WHY it's cut if I go back there to her...which I might. I'm a loyal person damnit...and I've been going there for 4 years. So, unless I LOVE this guy, doubt I'll completely abandon mine yet...even if that means continued dye/cuts from two different people for awhile..haha....

The truth is not an option people.

In other news, it's that time of year where I neeeed a change! I feel blah! I'm looking forward to Vegas to kinda shake up the monotony of winter's hum drums and get pumped for spring. Dude. In Dallas the other weekend, I saw an AWESOME dress at the BCBG outlet. I didnt "need" it for anything, so I let it go... Now, here I am thinking "Duh. Vegas. and Duh. High School Reunion." I'm a moron. *sigh* A moron with two hair appointments.

are you sure the truth isn't an option? i mean, your old stylist surely knows that if she's going to get paid to do either the cut or the color, the color is the money-maker right? and since you've been going there for FOUR years, she's probably had countless new business thanks to you, yes? hmmm... i don't know what to tell you, but i feel like if she's not a total lunatic that she should understand the truth.
then again, any one of those little fibs would work on me, too. :)

I suppose the truth is an option... *le sigh* I just want to make sure I like the new guy first... b/c I havent lived down the first cheating episode yet. If I like it, maybe I'll be honest then? I'm a bad person. A bad person with two stylists. hahaha..

you're not a bad person. and if your stylist makes you feel that way, the forget her. YOU are paying for a service, not an attitude. :) i quit going to this girl here because of a similar reason. she was really good, but she was such a jerk. always giving me shit about the way i wear my hair... i'm spending $40!!! i don't need it! :)

Hmmmm, I would have just let this guy do my color too, but whatev! I'd go with the gift card prevarication and say that he is a friend of the friend that gave it to you, so they'll know if you don't use it or something like that! I still think you should give my lady a try some time too, but that's not helping you right now! Weugsche!!

A little maxim I live by:

"Always tell the truth and you'll be one lonely person"

Business is business. Get your hair colored, go get your hair cut. If she asks next time your in, IF you ever go back, tell her that you had a coupon, let a friend do it, whateva but don't tell her you cheated. Stylists are catty beeatches.

if she asks why you don't want it cut and you can't be totally honest say "I don't have time to do it right now." which is true--it's hard to fit in two in one day!

and then if you like him, level with her when you go back. and if you don't like him, say whatever makes your stylist not mean. :)

Such a touchy subject. If you tell the truth you're basically telling her she doesn't meet your expectations after four years. I like the "I don't have time" excuse. That's viable and sounds like you.

I have been pondering the same situation for months, lov emy color, can't stand the choppy cut..
I will have to go with the "I don't have time"

I once cheated and got caught because I had to go back. Then I finally left for good. Just say you don't have time and worry about the excuse later, if you have to!
