Duhnuh...duhnuh..duhnuhduhnuhduhnuh...

-(my feeble attempt at the Jaws theme).

Hey folks.. what starts next week that I go completely ape-sh*t nerdy for?
SHARK WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I may have already set the dvr for an "I might be a freak" amount of shows... Now that my fear has dissipated after having seen one (at least I think I did) on vacation, I would like to re-commit to diving in a shark cage...maybe... Or at least watching a lot of shark week. Yeah.

And alright.. I typically dont go nuts for complete romancy-smancy movies. I just don't. Usually they need some humor for me (How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days? AWESOME! You've Got Mail? Helllllooooo!) b/c I hate bawling in the theater. I haven't even seen the Notebook. (I know I know). But, dangit if I dont want to see this movie really badly. *sigh* I dont know why. Well.. I do. I love Rachel. And I also may start drooling uncontrollably for like Eric Bana. Hey.. he shares a first name with my boyfriend.. That makes it okay...er...or something??
And hey.. let's just keep with the entertainment randomness. Did you watch Alias? Ya know.. before it got stupid? Well, I did. And I find myself watching shows the actors from it are in NOW like a loyal follower. It's weird. Whatever. That said, guess who has a new show I knew about but didn't latch onto?! Yup! Vartan! YAY! And he seems like a cool dude. Just sayin. Check him out. I'm usually opposed to watching too many interviews with people I really like b/c I'm afraid they'll ruin it...but he didn't! And he went on Chelsea. Anyone who goes on Chelsea is awesome b/c she's awesome. Just sayin.

Umm...and I also found out one of my FAV friends from high school is coming to the reunion!! YAY! That makes like 5 people I'm excited to see!!!

Annnnnd... remember me mentioning my friend's "Tool Academy of Love" birthday party? Yeah.. well.. I think I know where I'm getting my outfit! YES! I cant spoil it yet. I'll post it when I buy it. There's a store in Promenade that will be taking a minimal amount of my money so I can adequately mimic a Flava of Love girl's image. Wow. OOh ooh! And along these lines, have you ever mystic tanned? Have you? I may have gotten a mole and totally freaked out and ceased tanning by a LOT and wear makeup with spf now...and bronzer :) ...and use jergens natural glow when I can (patting self on back here) but for my ahem...costume, I need to be tan. I would like to try it. Thoughts appreciated.

Annnd.. happy Friday!!! I usually blog a lot, but this week I've been extra blog happy for some reason. *shrug*

Your random excited-ness is cracking me up! I want to see the Time Traceler's Wife too! I saw a preview for it when I went to see My Sister's Keeper. I do love Rachel so much. AND I haven't read the book so there's no way I would be disappointed by it!!

I used to mystic all the time. I never had a problem (except for the one time when there was no tanning juice in the machine). Just make sure to get the barrier cream really well on your hands and around your nail beds. BUT if you do end up getting too much on your hands, I hear that toothpaste will remove it! The only downside is the funky smell. It lingered a little too long for my liking, that's pretty much why I don't do it anymore.

im so gald you asked! i used to work at a tanning salon and sold the mystic tan. its good i really liked it! and yes Ashley is right back sure you get the barrier cream on your hands and around your nails, and its COLD so be prepared! we had customers who tanned once a week with the mystic and they looked real good. PLEASE POST PICTURES OF THIS TOOL PARTY IT SOUNDS FREAKIN.HILARIOUS.!

i will say though having someone actually spray you gets a much better even look and more natural. i did this for valentines day and my boyfriend loved it. just food for thought!

Haha you make me laugh - love your blog and SHARK WEEK too! I am scared of mystic tan, more frightened then I would be of seeing a shark on vacation. Good luck with your outfit!

Mystic tan is actually pretty good, certainly better for you than tan-tanning, although Ashley's right, it smells funny. But then, I think Jergen's and all the other tan lotions smell funny, too.

READ TTW before you see the movie. I say that because it is such a complex book, I'm sure they will leave tons out for the movie, but I just can't imagine seeing the film without having a clue how the story works out. The book is amazing, but like I said, complex... I wasn't even sure exactly what was happening until I was about a quarter way in. My girlfriend kept telling me to keep going, that I would understand it eventually... and she was right. But I wouldn't see the movie if I hadn't read the book, seriously.

Cori- I totally LOVE your blog! I tried to make a comment on there, but I couldn't. :( It could be my work server, so I'll try again at home, but I want to leave fun comments so let me know if there's something I need to do!! :)

Amd you guys are making me think seriously about Mystic!! I should do it before the partay so I make sure I do it right.. haha! Granted, a bad tan would be even funnier.. lol!

As mentioned on twitter, the Shark Week commercials frighten and awe me. Don't watch the notebook. Completely pointless and horrid movie. ;)

My husband LOVES shark week and will probably be doing the same with the dvr, lol. They personally give me the heebie-jeebies!!! I am so excited to see The Time Traveler's Wife! I read the book ages ago and it is still one of my most favorite books ever to this day!! I am so glad you are not tanning anymore!! Def check out spray tans!! I hear that fantasy tan is really good too - you can go on the main site and do a search for salons in your area that carry the formula. It's the same tans that all the celebrities and dancers on Dancing with the Stars use! And those people always look like they just came back from the tropics! Plus there are maintenance products you can buy for when you go home and they aren't as expensive as Mystic ;)
