I was sitting here and decided to post randomly about Christmas. No rhyme or reason, just random stuff I was thinking about.. Sooooo...
My fav all time Christmas movie-White Christmas. :) My dad used to LOVE it and I felt so grown up getting to watch it with him when I was a little girl. And it has dancing...and we all know I heart dancing... And it has romance...and well, I'm a sucker for romance... And it's not the typical fav....and I like that. So, yup. I haven't watched it in a couple years.. I dont even think I own the dvd actually (I should fix that)... but totally love this movie! :)
Do you do tree toppers? If so, what? Angels? Stars? Light up? Non light up? My parents used to let me select what we put on the top of the tree when I was a kid.. and it was hands down my fav thing ever about decorating the tree. We had a few and would alternate every year (well, unless I was indecisive and wanted to alternate every week-bonus of being an only child). My personal fav was a pretty angel. When she broke somehow, I cried. A lot. Too much to be in 5th grade or so.
I have years where I seriously hear Christmas music and immmmmmediately turn it off. I guess sometimes I'm just not in the spirit. Dunno. Side note: this year, I'm diggin it. Anyway, regardless, this song makes me so.happy. :) I was reminded of how much I loved this song when Tracy posted about it the other day! Christmas songs shouldn't be sad. Just sayin. And b/c I'm feeling like I want to make some superfluous purchases to destress myself (I'm not going to. I need to save.), I'll list some things I'd totally buy and wrap for myself under the tree.. haha...
Lookie at the fun bag I found online....
The only TU sweatshirts I have are from law school or say Chi O all over them (and why did we think including the year was a good idea on those shirts? B/c um.. pretty sure I forget about that til I'm at the store in sweats and a Chi O 2002 shirt. *nervous* I'm old. Sometimes my sorority shirts still make it in public. Whatever.) And Suzanne got this super cute one at the bookstore not too long ago! Love the plaid, don't you?!
Gracie's hair is whoa. But I wouldn't trade her for anything, so it is what it is. But, um.. her fur is about to destroy my semi cheap vacuum. I never thought I'd lust after a cleaning tool, but dyson animal, you're pretty cool. Just.sayin.
I have cute lounge pants. I have a couple cute hoodies. They do not match each other. Apparently, I didn't think that was a good idea? *shrug* Kinda want some cute, matchy track suit or something.. but not b/c I plan to wear it anywhere except my sofa, the gym...and possibly to the grocery store. And this isn't one I love, but the VS fashion show this week just made me remember how much I dig Miranda Kerr. She's cool. So, the suit she modeled got posted. :)
I don't want anything with brands screaming from every angle. *ew* And for some reason, I really didn't care about the Burberry trend... til recently. No rhyme or reason, but I want a scarf. This is the reg pattern, but slightly off.. kinda fun I think....
Oh, and I'd buy that bedroom set I posted about not too long ago. Yeah, I would. It shot back up to regular price the DAY after I blogged. Lame!!! So, whatevs. Wasn't meant to be. *sigh* (That's code for- I'm stalking it online every day in hopes it goes on sale or shows up on ebay).
Thanks for the fun comments on my weekend post.. that I finally got around to yesterday. :) Ooooh yeah and thanks so much for the kudos about the dress/tights I had on last weekend! I actually borrowed it from Marla! She got it at a local boutique, I think! I'll def tell her how many fun compliments it got! :) Prepare yourself for many more ridic photos b/c Ashley is coming back over xmas! YAY!
Hope you have a great Friday and weekend, peeps! Eric's work holiday party is Friday night and I'm hoping I sound less like Darth Vader and more like myself, but hey.. at least I don't feel bad..it's just the voice! (knock on wood). :)

So funny about the vacuum. I hate vacuuming too but I am dying for a vacuum made for pets. Mine just can't handle the amount of golden retriever hair my little man leaves on my carpet!!
Hope you vacuum dreams come true this Christmas!
Love this post!! White Christmas is a great movie!!
I hope Santa leaves you something from your wish list under the tree you so deserve it!!!! : )
Would you believe I've never seen a White Christmas. I know. Crazy talk. I love that Mariah song, it's one of my faves, next to Last Christmas by WHAM! And oddly enough, I haven't been protesting the holiday tunes this year either. Usually I'm a scrooge until about the week before. Must be something in the air this year. As for our tree topper, I have a bow. Stole the idea from my mom. Sounds kind of odd, but I get tons of compliments.
I obsess about what to put on top of the Christmas tree too. At my little townhouse I just have a little tree with a lame angel for the top. But I really want to find something exciting that I love for next year when I am married and we have a big house with a big tree!
love the song, love the bag, love the scarf... sort of indifferent about christmas. p.s. love you too. :) xo
on the bedroom set...maybe they will give you a two for one, I need a king size please :)
tree toppers? I stay confused and my santa you commented on, he is lame and cheapo! I can never decide!
I love A White Christmas... I own it on DVD, and I saw that is coming on TV on Saturday. So check your listings. =)
we put a star on our tree and it's always tradition the family matriarch gets to do it so Mr. A gets to do it every year at our house.
Hope you have a great weekend!!
Love the bag, the suit, the scarf!
We're not putting the tree up this year because of the new puppy so nothing on top of the tree!
I amso with you about the Burberry scarf! I didn't really want one, but recently I have been dying to have one! I think we (or our significant others) should treat us to one.... :)
that bag is pretty killer man. you might NEED it. :)
hey girl. I gave you an award. Go check it out on my blog!
that scarf is REAL you, and i like it. i cant ever find the right tree topper, but i am stars all the way. last year i wanted one of those tinseley light-up vintagey ones, but never found it and am not sure it would match my sort-of-blue-and-silver tree decor "theme" (what you use to fill in around all the cool ornaments people give you) that i am sort of getting sick of. i kind of want burgundy or dark red and gold for a while - but will be happy just to get the tree up for this year! :)
You mean you DON'T like the Christmas shoes song?
:)
I'm playing "All I want for christmas is you" on repeat from your blog in my office. I think everyone hates me. :)
I love the scarf. I have never see White Christmas...what is wrong with me? ha!
ahem.
1.)Loved White Christmas as a kiddo.
2.)Totally bought myself a hot pink zebra striped dyson vacuum for christmas. omg! can't wait til i can post pics!
3.)Scarf=awesome. and 4.)Bag=youmayverywellneedthatsobadthatimaygetitforyou!
hahahahaha
greetings lover! i put a peacock on the top of my xmas tree. i found him at target last year. i like him so much that he is perched in my kitchen light until its time for the xmas tree.
i also want a new vacuum. wow am i cool or what? the joys of getting older. i also asked for a crock pot too. xoxo alover
we have the dyson and we love it. (of course) it's a must when you have a dog that sheds like crazy!
I didn't put anything on top of our tree yet but it looks really sad and lonely so I'm thinking about buying a star or something. If I knew how to make a bow out of ribbon then I'd do that but ya, I don't so whatevs.
Happy Weekend...I need that vacuum like really bad too...like real real bad.
christmas, how i love thee ;)
so i was really just thinking about christmas tree toppers because in my family we have only ever used angels or stars. i currently have a silver star because my angel committed suicide last year. jumped off the tree face first, her face broke all over the place....sad story, i know. i wasn't in 5th grade but i wanted to cry! anyhow, since blogging i noticed people in the south like to use funky tree toppers and now i want to make one!! they look like so much fun.
your favorite movie, i've never heard of it. mine is christmas vacation, i'm watching it now. i have watched it every night this week, ha!!
this is the first year that i have ever listened to christmas music and liked it. i just love every little thing about christmas this year!!
the scarf is super cute! i love it!! there is an attorney that i work with who wears hers pretty much every day, with everything. strange if ya ask me ;)
okay, sorry for the super long comment ;) i hope you have a great weekend sweet girly!!! XO!
p.s. i want to follow you on twitter, email me and remind me how to find you! i'm on there as Annie0720!
You really are my twin!!! I love love love White Christmas, and my Paw Paw use to make me watch it every year .... then I learned to love it! Too cute. I am loving that Burberry scarf too and Juicy Suit of course. You would look fabulous in it all!
I'm SO glad to find a fellow White Christmas lover! That movie makes me so happy. I watch it every year with my Mom and sister. It still amazes me every time how great they are at singing, dancing, AND acting. They were the real thing!! :)
I want a cute matchy track suit too! Sign me up! ( :
Holy comments--wow! I was just going to mention that Mariah Carey will always redeem her trashy self since she sang that glorious song. And I want a Burberry scarf as well. I should have bought one years ago when I first thought of it as they are now $300. Yeesh.
I have never seen White Christmas... I think I need to get on that this year! I love that Mariah song, so glad it inspired you with Christmas Music. And guess what... I have that scarf (but in white). It was my big gift from our honeymoon when we were in London! Too bad we don't live closer, or I would let you borrow it ;)
I love White Christmas too, I finally go the chance to watch it last year and it was amazing! Mariah is the best, good choice sweetie! Burberry scarf = amazing and I hope you enjoyed yourself at Eric's party.
a dyson animal is the best thing ever invented! i've had mine for 6 months, and it changed my life. :)
