I didn't wash my hair today b/c I didn't feel like it. I tried to make it a cute, pinned up style and jury's still out on whether the adjective that describes it is really "cute" or not. ha! Okay, so I'm not in any sort of down mood.. I just think I'm having a case of the Februaries. I tried to dress cute and do my hair differently to motivate me or something.. but alas...
Here's some random Wed stuff:
* Finding a house isn't as easy as I thought. I have responded to:
....one craigslist ad that turned out to be a Nigerian scammer. How did I know this? Oh, the application (wishing me "tidings" and "gospels") asked for my car make and model, my photo and my deposit. Ummm.. haha.. I got aggravated b/c I like to think I'm above being scammed so I drove by the house.. and it EXISTS...but it's not for rent. I wanted to go knock on their door and tell them someone was scamming their house. But, then I didn't know what I'd do if some Nigerian missionary actually answered the door so I thought better of it. haha. *nervous*
....one AWESOME house that doesnt take pets. I tried to negotiate, but I guess my lawyerly skills are dusty. (Side note: I hate negotiating for myself. LOVE to do it for others...hence the law thing....but personally.. icks.)
* We also went to see a house yesterday and the LL liked us so much, she's practically begging us to live there, but I dont think it's a fit for us.
* I have lots of assignments at work, but none of them are enthralling me right now. (likely b/c they're not enthralling). They're just time consuming and coming one after the other. I am thankful to have a great job.. not complaining.. just saying. It's February and my tasks aren't enthralling.
* I figured out my running group coach person works at.my.office. What are the odds?! haha! I knew I recognized her, but uh.. everyone looks different sans makeup in running clothes. Made me feel guilty for not running yesterday night *oops* I'm tired of running in the cold! I like running but my lower body is so cold when I'm done that it almost burns. *complain whine whine complain. Whatever-it's my blog*
* LOST. Okay, I love the show. LOVE it. But last night, what did we figure out really? Not.a lot. Well, except that Kate continues to kinda suck and be annoying. Read Lost Diary. It's awesome. (if you watch the show.. otherwise you'll think it's really not awesome).

* Finally, I think my face eats blush. I put it on every morning and have no healthy glow by like 11am. Maybe I'm so pale, my face is sucking in the color at an attempt to spread it througout the rest of my casper-like bod. (dry humor and I are friends today. sorry if you're not a fan.. haha)
* My mother called me yesterday at work and started talking about addl life insurance policies and burial costs wanting to "figure it out now" instead of later. Um.. okay I get where she's coming from, but really, kinda a bummer, madre. ha!
* Whatcha think about Valentines Day? You love it or hate it? I'm really in neither group. I like recognizing it, but prefer humor and fun to sappy and romancy. (Mind you, I'm down for romance any other time. Duh. I'm a female). I ordered Eric a fun present I kinda put some time into so I'm hoping he likes it, but also hope he doesn't think it's b/c I'm all goo-goo over Vday. I'm not. I just liked the gift I got him. :) And if he doesn't like it, I'll take it myself and just buy him dinner. ha!
Okay, enough rambling. I've grounded myself to my desk to finish my projects so I needed a 20 minute break. 20 minutes are over. Resuming work. *sigh*

I laughed about the blush comment. I'm pale, too. The "sucking it in so it spreads throughout my face" comment was funny.
This year I am stumped on what to get my husband for Valentine's Day. I was thinking of just being basic and boring - making dinner at home, having some vino, and maybe being lazy and watching a movie...but I just read on another person's blog about recreating your first date, and I think that sounds really fun. However, I think the hubs might have to work that day...so that may be postponed. :) That is my goal, though, as of now - to recreate our first date.

My face eats blush too. I have started spray tanning, it totally improves my mood.
And I remember when I ran into my spin instructor at the mall. And I felt bad because not only did I not really recognize her, but I also didn't know how pretty she is "in real life." Makes me wonder if I also look like total crap at the gym..

Ditto to a case of the Feb's. Hopefully my hair appointment will perk me up tomorrow. UGH...negotiating for myself blows. I totally know what you mean. I too dislike Kate and am happy that she no longer wants to act after this is over. She's annoying. Bryan and I don't really celebrate Valentine's Day. I mean we've gone out the last few years, but I never really cared too much about it. Maybe I had one too many bad experiences that have scarred me. Have a good day Doll!

I think we all have those days, months, weeks, etc...that just feel a little off! Februaruy is kind of blah in my book. I totally can relate to the work thing...I have a ton of time consuming projects that aren't hard, there just boring, and I don't want to do them! BUT, I am soo soo thankful for my job --so if there is some not so fun things that come with it, I will take it in strides! Don't feel bad for skipping your running group, I skipped the gym. Again, we all derserve those days ;) ANND...I have never been a huge v-day girl, and my husband for sure isn't! Last year we had "family bowling night" and that was super fun! I really don't know what we will do this year. I hope you have a great rest of the week, and a great weekend! Do you have a 3 day? ((Fortunately, my company observes President's Day as a holiday!))

I personally LOVE Valentines Day. Not because of the romantic eewy gooey-ness of it but because of the girly indulgence of the whole thing. Wearing pink, eating cupcakes, and chocolates, and getting flowers...yes please! Of course I'm not eating sweets right now, and Ben and I aren't doing anything or exchanging anything to save for the wedding...so maybe I don't like Valentines Day anymore.... lol!
Thank God I'm not the only one with a face that eats blush, too! I never have even a hint of glow by the end of the day!

There are houses in my neighborhood for rent. I know its not in downtown, but they typically have 1.5 baths. Which means that you wouldn't always have to share. Plus, Gracie could play at my casa when she needs to run off some energy.
V-day is what it what is. Dave even asked me I wanted to celebrate it. I just shrugged and said only if it includes a trip to the beach.

Good luck on the house hunting! Mere and I did that a few years back and it certainly got frustrating (I had a dog as well). Once the weather warms up a bit more, I bet you find a lot more choices. I'll keep my eyes peeled too!
Ok, it's funny because my face eats blush too! And I even tan in the tanning bed...what the heck??!! I've tried ever blush known to man, but by 10:30 every morning at work, I'm the color of a ghost. Maybe we have some sort of weird medical problem...or maybe I should just start using grease paint instead of blush, haha
Oh, and my Glamour magazines started arriving a couple weeks ago! So exciting!

We're looking for a new house to rent now also. What a pain in the ass. I "flag" at least 20 posts a day on CraigsList - who are these damn people? So what is with the no pets thing also?? I mean, my dog's practically my child. they don't have no child buildings right?? just tell them gracies probably cuter than their baby ;)
