Weekend Recap!

Hello lovelies! Alright, I admit it. I've been a bad, bad blogger. Do you ever feel like it's overwhelming to blog, comment, yada yada? haha.. Anyway, I've also been trying to keep active to not get in a total February funk, so staying off the sofa and computer as much as possible. :)

Soo.. without going off on too much of a diatribe about my recent activities I havent blogged, let's see...

Heeeeere's the weekend..

Eric takes the second CPA exam on Monday morning! GOOD LUCK, E!!!! Kick @ss and take names!! So, he's been a studying fool lately and I thankfully pulled him away for some Mexican food on Friday night. I pulled in to his casa and saw....this.

Is that not the creepiest thing ever? These cats have apparently adopted his porch. I think one is in heat...or making horrible noises for fun outside his window (siiiiiick). Anyway, he doesn't feed them or anything.. but he's officially the cat man or something... at least this week.. haha...

Saturday, we went to his friend's engagement partay where my typical clumsy self shattered a glass. Good job, Jax. Gooood job. *sigh* If there's something to break, trip over, fall down, yada yada.. I'll find it somehow. Anyway, here are some pics I made him take before he dropped me off.. ("We didn't take any pics tonight... smile!") ;) We were just trying to get one we both liked of us smiling... and then gave up and hilarity ensued...

I see these and think "awwww.. cute.... " then "ohmygosh I need a tan!' I may have gone today. Don't judge me. I ran and worked out for 45 minutes afterward to punish myself. But, I loved every single minute of that 7 minute stand up bed fluorescent light blasting my pale self.

I've been doing it all. Self tanners. Lotions. Yada yada.. and I just wanted that goggle-wearing, no-one-can-bother-me, I'm-pretending-it's-not-cold-outside, warmth. Just once. *sigh* Why is something that feels so good so bad for me?! haha... :(

This weekend, I also filled FIVE bags with clothes for goodwill b/c I cleaned out my closet! (Seriously, some of these clothes, I wouldnt even want to give to friends.. why did I keep that random skimpy dress from college? Yeah.. I dont know). Why did I clean out my closet, you ask? Welllllllll... MARLA AND I FOUND A HOUSE! Yuppers! We signed the lease on Friday! It's in an adorable (and safe!) neighborhood.. a cute little gingerbread! I can't wait to post more about it! I'm hoping to use as much time as possible to get organized and get rid of superfluous stuff over the next few weekends before we move! (We move in March 20th)!

Oh and ps.. I gave up soda for lent. My body needed to detox. Pepsi and Dr. Pepper were taking the place of most other beverages and well..that's not good. So far, so good! I'm finding ways around soda.. tea, etc. I didn't need to stop the caffeine as much as I needed to stop all that other crap they put in soda, ya know. Sooooo whatever your goals for lent, if any, good luck b/c this is tough, peeps!
