Gah... Wed night tv rocks my world lately. SYTYCD was hot tonight.. as usual. I'm ready to say PEACE to Sedrick (?)... DUNZO. Goodbye. I LOVE Pasha. I think I shall have his little Russian babies. Yeah. But, only if sex involved dancing. He's hot.






Traveler ROCKS my life. Yeah, tonight was AWESOME. The final scene..OHMYGOD! I certainly hope they bring the show back.. I am sad we're already at finale time. Whatever. Stupid network. They got me hooked and will likely cancel the show.


Apparently, there are weirdos outside my apt. Well, not apparently.. there just are weirdos. Period. My neighbor told me someone was throwing coins at her window last night. Awesome. How safe am I walking Gracie at night?? FAABULOUS. The thing is.. it's none of the bums.. it's people that are just hanging out at a nearby apt. Last night, I pulled up and one guy did a little drunk, hairy jig in the middle of the street. I pulled off and came back like 10 min later. Sheez.

Cat Poop has ruined my life.

Okay, being dramatic, but just went home for lunch.. and Gracie is sick. :( I dont know if she's really SICK or if its her baby teeth. She seems to WANT to eat, but she wont. I took her food, broke it up with a hammer, and fed it to her in my hand. That seemed better. At any rate, she's shaking her head a lot, too, so it could be her puppy teeth, her ears, or the damn cat.

Let me tell you about the cats aroud my apt. They aren't cute. They aren't sweet. They are homeless mongrils that look as though they'll attack you if you get too close. I'm really not kidding. My landlord even said she was scared.. yes scared.. of the cats around there...and she HAS cats. Okay, well.. whatever cat is shitting around the damn apt area obviously has a serious intestinal problem..and no telling what she's eating since she's homeless. So....THAT is the stuff Gracie loves. I mean.. I catch her and all..but its usually too late. Looks like it's leash time for all walks now. *sigh*

Immaculate Conception? That's actually not funny...

Okay, seriously.. I'm WAY nauseous again this morning. Granted I didnt take any allergy meds last night b/c I was out. I seriously just stood in the cafeteria in line for my water, coke and crackers (all to help ease my tummy) all while watching people get things that I cant even TYPE b/c it makes me sick to think about it. Yesterday, it eased throughout the morning, so hopefully that will be the case today... I was sitting through my early morning meeting and smiling along, making comments here and there all the while thinking "Oh dear God.. I am gonna puke in this guy's office.."

I'm already feeling a LITTLE better.. (emphasis on little)

Things I think are causing this:
1. Allergy drainage while I sleep. Its gross. Get over it. Vomiting is worse, people. I don't "feel" allergy-ish like usual though..which is why it has to be while I sleep...
2. I've had my window units on full blast the past couple days (yes, I live in an old bldg.. I have window units). Is it possible that there's mold or something? Hm..

Conversation between me and the Pharmacist at Walgreens:
"Hello?"
"Walgreens Pharmacy. Pharmacist speaking."(monotone, annoyed at life)
"Hi, I need to see if I have any refills on my Allegra D." (skipping ahead through the name/bday part)
"Yes, Ma'am, you do."
"Ohmygod! Thank goodness! You've just made my day!"
(monotone) "Okay, ma'am. When will you pick that up?"

*sheez* A little excitement would have been great.. Hmph! LOL! :)

I can now resume work. My stomach has stopped pissing me off for the time being.

Um... Peroxide in my eyes??!

So, I went to the eye doc and apparently I have some extra flat cornea or something?? I dunno. Anyway, my last contacts were too tight for my eyes and were causing redness b/c the veins were basically being smothered. Sooo.. I have new contacts and I dont know if I like them, but it will take some getting used to I suppose. Anyway, there is some new thing that Bausch and Lomb Renu, etc is BAD for the new silicon contacts!! Whoa!

Soo. Now I put my contacts in this space age peroxide cleaner. Um.. Is that safe?! Apparently so...but only after 6 hours.. Um.. embarassing but sometimes I dont get 6 hrs of sleep.. like if I go out or something.. but now I HAVE to have them out at least 6 hours or Ill burn my eyes! NUTS!

Okay, well, here I sit in my glasses and have to be at work EARLY for a meeting.....So.. hope this peroxide crap works.. It fizzed when some went down the sink. That makes me nervous..

Saturday, mom and I headed to Ft. Smith, AR (where she was born) to one of our favorite restaurants, Itailiano's, for dinner. The guy who owns it runs it out of the house around the corner from my mom's old home and grew up with my mom. :) We try to get over there once a year or so and it was fabulous mom/daughter bonding.. :) She's actually got some pretty damn interesting stories now that I actually stop and listen.

The pic below is HORRIBLE of me..I look like I'm about to puke on the table or something... but it's really good of my mom, so I posted anyway. You have to admit she looks pretty damn good these days!! :) I heart her!!

Below is the front of my grandpa's old business. They tore the building down, but left up this part.. and I love it! It's a landmark in the little town and it's awesome to go look even though I never met my grandpa... It was a grocery store that did business with the traders, etc.. Kinda cool, right?! :)
My mom refers to her old house as "one-one-four" and we go see it every time we go over there. It was built for her grandmother as a gift from her grandfather. He actually built it himself and imported a lot of stuff (marble, doors, etc) from Europe.
We were both kinda sad to see what it's become.. My mom's mom had to sell it b/c she couldnt keep it up or afford all the updates that were required at one time.. So, it has been sold a lot.. and now looks beyond repair. The upstairs window that's open revealed a spraypainted bedroom wall.. The front door is coming off the hinges, the sleeping porch is collapsing. It appears people might go in and out of there.. likely homeless.. It's really sad, but my mom said she was glad to have such fond memories of the place.. I almost didnt take a photo at all b/c it looks like it's beauty has really been kinda stolen.. but imagining it full of life was pretty cool.. so I took the pic anyway..
Today, Gracie and I went to Woodward Park!! Little did she know it was bath day.. so I kinda played extra with her today

Hi, I'm a reed diffuser and I rock. Do you have one of these?! I just discovered them.. after EVERYONE else...and I want LOTS of them. F-ing fabulous. They smell good FOREVER, look cool.. and arent overpowering. There shall be one in my apt this weekend. Brace yourself for an adventure in scent, people...

4th of July- good times

...but I dont feel like downloading my photos right now. Yeah, first thing I did was get batteries today for the camera after last night. Gracie got to play with Brooke and Paul! :) Then, Shelbs and I went to a friend's condo to watch the fireworks. Updates to come. Love love!

They did the Mash... It was the MONSTER Mash...

My birthday ended with me singing the Monster Mash on the way home (while Maureen drove).. That's all you need to know about the success of the night! hahahaha! I put a fake mike up to Maureen (apparently) and made her sing "..it was a graveyard smash!" What?! hahaha! Good times! Big thanks to her for driving me home. :)) The photo below is pretty much everyone! Lots of estrogen! LOVE IT! :) Started at ITR and ended up at Jewel.


Thanks to everyone who came!! I know around the holiday it's hard to get together for my birthday so it really meant a lot that everyone played that could! :) Highlights:

1. Stupid beetoch that didnt understand "reservations" and was sitting at our table when we got there...and refused to move until the hostess told her. I believe when I asked her to move, explaining our reso, she said "Um.. do you work here? No? Well, then find someone who does to tell me." B-ITCH! But, she was a total cougar and couldnt help it. It was likely bad diet pills or something. lol! :)))

2. Soco and lime....and champagne....and wine....and.....and.....and good friends, good times, good photos, great birthday! :)

3. Striking a pose-John Travolta style-all alone on the dance floor at Jewel. Haute.

4. Asking everyone if they have batteries...even strangers....when mine died. I think I was annoying. I remember it being "It's my birthday. Do you have batteries? No? Go get some." Yeah. Nice. lol!

Also, hooray for my job getting me a cookie cake and cute cards n stuff!! (and for leaving work and heading to someone's house to play). :))

Last, but certainly not least THANK YOU to Aaron...who sent me the best digital photo frame EVER to my work!!! He overnighted it....then had to push it to be there by 10 b/c we were leaving early. :)) When he said "it wasnt something you've asked for at any time..." I got scared, but I seriously couldn't imagine a better gift for picture crazy and sometimes-attention-deficit me! I mean.. SLIDE SHOWS..on a FRAME.. WHAT-WHAT!?!! Lol!!! Way to be creative despite the CA bar exam sucking the life outta him!! :)) You rock my world, ADH!

All in all, I seriously feel so fortunate in my 26 years. Gracias for the bday wishes, everyone!! :)

Ever since I've had Gracie...

...people stop me and tell me how adorable she is...or how they once had a Cavalier...or knew someone who did.. and how wonderful they are...

Well, today took the cake! :) I got home from my co-workers.. which was a blast...(Ill blog about it later)... and ran with her.. b/c she needed the work out. We played and I was disgusting looking after sweating and panting harder than the dog.. when.. a Lexus SUV stopped and parked and an older, kinda higher maintenance lady rolled down her tinted window and yelled to me through huge sunglasses with rhinestones "Hey, come here..."

So, I went..

As I was walking toward the car, she rolled down the back window...and out peeked two little Cavaliers that looked JUST like an older Gracie!!! The woman and I chatted about her dogs and how good the breed is..and she told me she JUST got one of her dogs a few weeks ago...from a shelter. She said "she was locked up unjustly...so I named her Paris!!" HHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!

I love it. Had to share.

T minus 50 minutes til late 20s..

LOL! :) Ah.... I have decided that if I am due to have a baby right before a holiday, I will get induced early.. Buuuut.. it IS pretty great to have the day off after your birthday FOREVER! Love that. :))))

So, I got a hot dress tonight to wear for Tues night.. it's kinda retro.. and when I say "hot" I mean super cute.. but not slutty. Slutty was 21, not 26..haha... Well.. now looking slutty isn't "in" anymore.. hahahahaha... :) Hooray sushi and hooray my birthday not being on a weekend so people arent all at the lake!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you watching Age of Love??! Effed up.. kinda.. Just sayin...If he picks a 20something I might be mad. Yeah. Likely.

Hooray for leaving work early to play at a co-workers house tomorrow!!
