What am I talking about, you ask? Well..all of you lovelies who comment on my blog are normal...but you're either married or dont live here. BOO! Why are there no normal people that I could share a house with...at least that I know of??!! I love living alone, but I am kinda tired of apartment life...and kinda want to save more money...and kinda want a yard for Gracie...and kinda want my very own driveway/garage/not parking off the street. I could go on and on.
I mean.. let's face it.. I had a GREAT roommate in Aud who totally made me blind to the fact that roommates can SUCK. I think I'm good to live with.. I'm quiet, respectful, clean, dont party too much, pay my bills, like reality tv.. I mean.. good qualities. :) But, those of you know the story AFTER I lived with Aud. Sometimes even good friends can be. bad. roommates. (aka letting strangers screw in your bed..on top of your laundry while you're taking final exams...) So, since then, I've lived alone. But, it gets expensive, lonely, and annoying. I dont mind the lonely part as much as I want a porch...and a yard...and..and.. *sigh* Maybe I will really start thinking more seriously about this.. Hmm... DAMNIT, Maureen, why do you already have so much furniture??!!! :)

Addition: While on my work trip (love saying that), a girl in STL told me about The World Market. I think I love it. Go there. It's like a cheaper Pier1!! If only we had one here! www.worldmarket.com :)

ugh jackie if you have central heat and air i'm moving in. i live with three hippies and two of them are boys and i'm no barbie doll like you but next to them i am the world's most high-maintenance individual. it's starting to distort my sense of self. they're driving me nutso. i love them all. but i also hate them.
Central h/a?? Haha.. Oh Melissa... I am not THAT spoiled. Seriously.. tahts one of MY pet peeves, too.. Old building=adorable setting, but no modern stuff. Poo. But my window units make a fabulous noise which lulls me to sleep. There's my selling point. haha!
Move in with us!!! You won't even know Andrew's there for the next 8 months, because he's hiding behind a computer 24/7 studying for the CPA. Come on roomie!!! :)
why don't you move to los angeles? you could live with vedros... or one of my other single friends...i'm SURE we could get you all set up! ;)

I kind of have that same type thing going on here, not with the roommate but no single "normal" people to hang out with. Lots of skanks...lol

AND YOU HAVE TO HAVE CENTRAL HEATING AND AIR. LIVE WITHOUT IT FOR A YEAR, HAVE HEATING BILLS THROUGHOUT A COLD WINTER AND YOU'LL KNOW WHY.
i think you are wanting to nest. you're going through a nesting phase for sure.
