Conversations with my doctor's office

Convo 1: approximately 1pm yesterday:

Me: Hi, I was in the office early November when Dr. T diagnosed me with a form of bacterial infection on my face. I called to say the topical prescription wasn't working well after about a week and he told me it was all he could do. Here I am...months later...and the thing seems to have reared it's ugly head again which makes me think it may not have been fully gone in the first place.

Nurse: Okay, I'll put a note in front of him and call you back.

Convo 2: Approximately 2:30pm:

Me: Hi. I called about an hr and a half ago and havent heard back. Someone was putting a note in front of the doctor about something for me.

Nurse: I gave him the note. I bet he'll want to see you, but I havent heard back yet.

Me: Alright. Look. This isn't your fault or his. However, I am frustrated that this has seemingly not totally gone away after my complaining that the medicine he gave me wasn't fully working months ago. If he wants to see me, I hope he plans to change his course of treatment or else I might scream in someone's face. I cannot have this while I'm out of town with work for the next week and a half. I'm sure you understand why I'm frustrated.

Nurse: Okay, ma'am. I'll call you back.

Convo 3: approximately 4pm yesterday

Me: Hi. I'm waiting on a call back and havent received it.

Nurse: Well, Dr. T's office has closed for the day. We're the night answering service.

*jaw dropping on my end* Me: Um.. Okay.. Thank you.

Convo 4: This morning at 9am

Me: Hi. I called yesterday (repeated symptoms) and never got a call back.

Nurse: *looks up my info* Okay, he said he'll want to see you.

Me: Well, that's great. However, I already booked an appointment with another physician that seems more competent to heal this infection and at the very least returns his patient's calls. I am very disappointed in both the service and treatment I've received through this- and other-recent dialogues and appts. I'll be writing a letter and possibly filing a complaint. Thanks and have a good day.

Nurse: *stammering* Um.. okay.

Bitch.

Dude. How effing hard is it?! I really do plan on writing a letter. If there's only one thing I miss from the law office, it's slightly jaded letters. ha. I doubt I'll cc the medical board, b/c having worked in medical defense litigation, I know letters like that aren't exactly good for the doc's file and I haven't reached evil levels of angry yet. I'm just so very angry that he not only couldn't heal my face, but also didnt listen to me. Then, when I had the back pain (new years), his office again didnt call me back. Ridiculous.

So, wish me luck at my mom's doctor today. *sigh* I'm beginning to lose faith here. I am trying to channel my chi and shit. I'm a nice person for the most part, but once I cross into angry, I become eloquently evil with my words. I dont plan on leaving this doc's office until I'm satisfied with his course of treatment. This could get ugly.. lol!

I fully enjoyed the sentence "I am trying to channel my chi and shit." Good laugh.

I have both a dermo and a general. I like them both. Let me know if you need either.
