Thankful Thursday...

So, I'm actually kiiiinda careful about jumping on board with lotsa daily blog titles b/c then I feel like I'll find myself participating in so many that I don't actually ever get to just randomly blog..haha! But, being thankful was a good header for this post so I went with it! :)

In random order, here are some things that make me happy this week...

1. I have my water back! They repaired the water main on Tuesday-woohoo! I have very little water pressure in the kitchen (think extremely annoying) but honestly, I'm not telling my LL's today b/c they've been over every.single.day. and I wanted to run some errands rather than make sure they didn't let my dog out or something else admittedly ridiculous I worry about.

2. Following that up, Eric gets kudos for letting me be his loving houseguest during my time of turmoil. (I'm so overdramatic). Anyway, made things so much easier to have him be so chill as I unloaded my straightener, etc (and my stress) at his casa. :)

3. Happy that my SAD (seasonal affective disorder) seems to be resolving itself. This roughly means that I have diagnosed myself with something some people doubt is even real to explain randomly flipping my sh!t last week. But, hey, whatever, it's gone now! Bring on fall; I'm happy again! Lol!

4. Four words: Starbucks caramel apple spice. I was reading blogs the other day and saw Jamie's post about this stuff. From that point on, I neeeeeded it. I don't mean wanted it; I needed it. I may or may not have structured dinner around being able to go get some for dessert. And I also grabbed Eric some b/c I'm nice (and I wanted someone to share in the awesomness of the spice). Mmmmm....

5. Companies running campaigns for the UW. Last week/week before was kinda rough at the oficina. I'm getting quite a few "yeah, that company was bought out and isn't running a campaign" and "yeah, we're not going to do one this year.. sorry.." But, when I get someone who is engaged in the campaign, I practically come through the phone and hug them. I've been successful in getting campaigns into TWO companies that've never had one before! That really pumps me up, people. I also have FOUR campaign kickoffs next week at my companies! Hooray!

6. Flu shots. I think they're awesome. However, I haven't ever gotten one b/c I'm scared. To have it or not to have it, I dont know. But, if they're keeping people healthier around me, that's still something to be thankful for so I dont get sick. Just sayin.

7. Fall television. Enough said.

8. A big concert weekend! So excited to head to DMB on Friday with Eric and then drive to OKC on Saturday to see KOL with Kel!

9. Target. I spent the whole weekend (off and on) looking for stuff (like jewelry to match that shirt below) and found nothing. However, I go to Target and it was like the heavens opened. Mind you, I kinda feel badly b/c I really didn't NEED anything and have made a pact with myself to purchase nothing else.

Anyway, lookie! Got this (for 19.99!!) to wear to KOL on Saturday!!
And I got these to wear with it.. and other stuff! They're just as cute as the ones I was looking at this weekend at the mall, but WAY under the ridic prices at the mall! Hooray!

10. And b/c I like even numbers... it's ALMOST FRIDAY!!!!!!! I have running water (thank goodness), a roof over my head in a great little apartment I've decided to be a lot more thankful for, a fab and supportive boyfriend (and he has running water, too), a great little sidekick pup, a good job....I could go on. I'm just sayin. Sometimes I need to adjust my attitude when I get in a funk and I definitely have. (and some of your comments about the renting vs. buying really helped with that, so thank you b/c I needed it). :) I'm thankful for a lot. I should mention some of it more...

Have a great Thursday, peeps!

Oh, and I got a necklace at Target to go with that shirt, too!! I took the majority's advice-gold chains-I think there are like three in multiple lengths. :)

That dress is super cute! Also, this is sort of random but my family is in the lighting business and I know they make special bulbs that are supposed to help with SAD. I don't know if they really work, but it's supposed to trick your body into thinking the days aren't getting shorter. Or something like that...

Oh my gosh. So funny that you bought that dress for your KOL concert, 'cause I bought the black and gray one for my KOL concert next Friday. At least I know now that it would be a totally acceptable thing to wear to the concert 'cause someone else is doing it, too. :)
