Kreativ Blogger Award :)

While I'm downloading pics (and videos) from the weekend, I'm going to blog about my fun award I rec'd! :)
This award came from Sonja at For the Love of Stilettos! She's a self proclaimed southern belle (and I love that!) with an awesome sense of fashion and a great blog! She also recently got an awesome layout done and I am seriously thinking about having one made! I'm just so indecisive that I dunno if I'd stick with it long enough to make it worth it.. haha... Anyway, thanks, Sonja! Here are the rules!

1-Thank the person who nominated you for this award.
2-Copy the logo and place it on your blog.
3-Link to the person who nominated you for this award.
4-Name 7 things about yourself that people may not know.
5-Nominate 7 Kreativ Bloggers.
6-Post links to the 7 blogs you nominate.
7-Leave a comment on each of the blogs letting them know they've been nominated.

Okay, sooo here we go.. seven things people may not know.. Hmm....Let's see if I can find some quirky things I've never blogged about...

1. I check my alarm aboooout 5 times before I go to bed to make sure I've set it correctly. Yes, five times. It's a little ridiculous. (However, if it's not set correctly, my internal clock would wake me up no earlier than 10am.. haha..)
2. Along those lines, I used to have this thing with odd numbers.. I just didn't like them. (If you've been reading for awhile, you might know this, even though I've kinda broken out of it now!). I seriously would lay in bed until the minute was an even number til I'd get up. I thought it was better luck. Now that you think I'm a weirdo, moving on...
3. Bamboo plants may or may not be the only plant I've had that I haven't killed. And the fact that I've had the two bamboos I can see from where I'm sitting since law school is an AWESOME feat in my book! haha! (I firmly believe I'd be better at gardening if I had an actual garden instead of an apt. *nodding affirmatively).
4. I empathize with objects sometimes. I was actually talking about this with my friend in Chicago, Lauren! I felt like I had to verbally say goodbye to my old car before I left it for the new one.. like the car would know if I didn't say goodbye.. haha. When I was little, I used to rotate the teddy bears that slept with me so they all felt loved. (only children have interesting imaginations, people)
5. I was a swimmer in high school, a lifeguard in high school/college, and taught swim lessons AND water aerobics at the ymca. :) I'm aquatic, people.
6. Reading my Glamour magazine is a ritual in the winter. I like to light candles, take a bath and sip whatever beverage I have in a wine glass. (Even Pepsi tastes better in wine glasses. Fact.) ;) Only then will I crack open the magazine in the winter months! and I love it! :)

Okay, now to nominate!! :) If you've already done this, no need to do it again. I just picked some local blogfriends and some not-so-local blogfriends! :)

* Carol at Everyday Delights!
* Mrs. EyeCanSee at The Juice is Worth the Squeeze!
* Lauryl at Aesthetic Pursuits!

Off to get a pumpkin spice at Starbucks! (and might take that kid I date one too... ;) ) Weekend update either later or tomorrow, but it was a good one! Hope you guys had a great weekend!

Man, I can relate with sooo many things you just wrote about, it's crazy! I don't do it anymore nearly as much (I got down to checking it only two to three times), but I used to check my alarm at least five times; I have killed every single plant I owned, (and I may or may not have killed all the fish I owned also). And I totally get "empathizing with your objects"; I've also said goodbye to my old car before I gave it away :-( Oh, and everything most definitely tastes a lot better out of a wine glass :-)
Enjoy your pumpkin spice you lucky duck!

I love the pepsi in a wine glass comment!! I totally agree about things tasting better in different glasses and must try that one out. I love fountain drinks in a cup with a TON of ice (especially from the gas station) WAY more than canned or bottled beverages. Thanks for my award lady :)

I totally understand the objects comment. I find myself talking to my cell, computer, remote and ipod when they aren't doing the things I want. I too said good bye to my Taurus when I sold her.

Thanks for the award! I talk to inanimate things all the time and the alarm clock checking, I do it too! Sometimes I will wake up in a panic in the middle of the night and check it again!

These are great! I'm a big fan of even numbers too (our anniversary is 10.20). And I am jealous of your bathtub ritual. I actually tried that once (or seven times) and I'm happy for about 4 minutes and then I am BURNING up. I start sweating and all I want to do is get out and jump in the shower to cool off. It's pathetic.

I'm going to email you later about something. Don't let me forget. Key word: Handbags. I think that's one word? I should check.

Awww thank you so much!!! I totally check my alarm multiple times before I go to bed too. If I am especially nervous, I set two alarms! Have a great Monday!

When I said goodbye to my last two cars I felt that it was very important to take pictures of them. To recognize their years of service to me...or something. Not that I have ever gone back to look at them or anything. But it feels important to do!

I kid you not I used to swap my stuffed animals for the same reason!! LOL & I'd tell them sorry if it wasn't their turn! hahaha

OMG! I totally agree that absolutely everything tastes better in a wine glass. Well, if I could ever seem to drink anything but wine ;)
