I cant blog and not talk about Paris Hilton. This whole thing is garbanzo beans!!!! I mean.. who cares... She did 5 days in jail.. that's five days longer than I would have lasted.. and she's gonna have to be home wearing a damn ankle bracelet. I guess I just see that she did wrong. I get it. But, she's also a celebrity...and they're using this for media stuff. I mean.. how many accidents have you heard about where someone actually died from a drunk or unlicensed driver that had previously had dealings with the law about those very same issues.. yet had never really been "punished" per se? Is it annoying that Paris didnt serve all her time? Sure. But, unless they plan on locking up every Joe Schmo who breaks the same laws everywhere for a whole month, I just dont see the relevancy. Stepping off soapbox!! :)

Insert their catchy jungle "Fox Collision Cennnnter....Fox!" called me back and I have an appt FINALLY to take my car in!! I will have to take a photo of the WT bumber to remember it. (wistful glance) Hooray for a rental for a few days!! :) Hell, hooray for not having to buy stock in duct tape!! At least my car is silver!!

I am SO excited to see everyone this weekend!! So excited!!! However, Melissa, I am giving you a royal shout out for being my unwed beeotch.. b/c as much as I seriously LOVE all my marrieds...really I do.. it sometimes sucks to not be a "She and He" when someone's talking about who all is coming cause it feels a leetle "out of the circle of trust" or something.. Make sense?? I must again reiterate that I LOVE everyone!!! It's not that I MIND being in singledom.. I actually dont.. but more that I live by my lonesome and am kinda like a little girl waiving her hand in the air like "Pick me!!ooooh!! me!me!me!! I wanna come!!" lol!!! I'm retarded. hahahaha! :) So, if the group goes to eat or anything, lets ask for our tab to be together.. just to see what the server says.. hahahahahahahaha.. I'm an asshole.

Oh, I told Kat this today.. but when we have a catastrophe in one of our work zones, it's called a "cat." Soooo...people say "Louisiana declared a cat" for example... LOL!! I cant help but think of Louisiana declaring a KAT and smile. I'm 10 years old.

You cant, asshole. So, go figure what I'm watching. This show is addictive!! How did I not watch this last summer??! Oh, wait.. I had the bar exam.. Right.

So, we have a mail cart at work.. that is electronic and just kinda goes around the office all by its lonesome beeping all the way. It knows where its going.. kinda cool. Actually, I'm being lame.. b/c I think it is the MOST entertaining thing EVER. I hear it coming and always look up from my desk just to stare at it. It's very original Star Wars.. Yeah. I halfway expect it to freak out and start speeding through the office spitting mail the whole time! (I really laughed at that just now..)

So, I still heart my job, but I cant access hotmail, gmail, or really any other mail. So... I think I'm going to send a forward with my email address to some of you so we can plan potential happy hours. I can still get texts, though, so that works, too. :) I dont really mind the email thing to be honest anyway.. esp since I get off work at a decent time and feel like I have plenty of my own time in the evenings now. :)

Have any of you used Fox Collision?? I have called them.. and called them.. and they always promise to call me back and they DONT. Unfortunately, its approved through the insurance company of the chick who hit me, so I'm just waiting.. I can go through someone else, but that would require me to get off my new job to go get another estimate. No thanks. *sigh* Every time I see a sports car or really any halfway decent car go by, I have the urge to yell out my window "I'm not WT.. I'm not.. Ignore the duct tape." lol! :) Whatever.

So, those of you who know me know that my girl crush is Vanessa Minillo... She's just fabulous!! :) For those weird guys out there, note to you.. every girl has a girl crush.. We dont want to sleep with them... We just want to wear their clothes, makeup, possibly have a day or so where we look like them.. Okay.. Well, have you seen Crazy Lohan corrupting Vanessa? *sigh* Annoyed. Who the hell plays with knives??!! I am annoyed, disturbed, and confused.. I mean.. who thinks knives are (1) sexy or (2) good photo props? I mean.. how friggin high on whatever drug were these two?? I heard Vanessa lost her jobbie b/c of it.. Sad.

...followed me up to my apt tonight. He was all normal looking.. but followed me to my FRONT. DOOR. What the hell? I mean.. I slammed my front door in his face. Thank GAWD Dennis had driven (we went to happy hour) and watched me walk to my door in case Mr. Creepy tried to molest me. I mean.. what normal guy follows a guy up to her front door? Creep. That is all.

Number 500 why I love my new job.. My co worker on my team told me about a site she loves.. www.tmz.com It's like celebrity smut.. but GOOD stuff. I dont really play online at work.. at all, but I got home and looked at it!! Ah.. Paris in jail. Who wouldnt love it?!

So, I got my computer today! :) Hooray! We have laptops with docking stations.. So convenient!!!! Ah love it! I also learned what makes up each category of hurricanes/storms.. like the strength of winds, etc.. You think this is boring? I think this is awesome. This is NOT part of my job (to know this stuff) but I read it anyway.. and had one of those "ahh....*agreeing nod*" moments.... like Ive ever been through a damn hurricane. I also learned that among the top places to get hit by tornadoes (in the nation) are OKC, Little Rock, and somewhere in one of the Dakotas. Yes. Interesting. I think so. I also learned that the person in my office before me liked gummy life savers (there were some OPENED ones in a drawer.. eww...) lol!

I really want bamboo for my office. Know where I can get a live bamboo plant?? I have three in my office...but they were gifts.. Well, two are ones I took over for Aaron.. but still.. doesnt help with the finding them in Tulsa.

So............. I thought I LOVED this perfume in the magazine from the little paper smelly thing.. but Maureen bought it and I cant stop smelling my wrist (since I sprayed it on myself). I want to smell like Maureen. Officially. hahaha.. Nah, I seriously LOVE this perfume.. GO smell it. NOW.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo... My first day of work was FABUFREAKINGLOUS!!!!!!! I mean.. I didnt know what to expect.. and it WAS Founders Day (aka not a typical work day) but.. I am going to like it. I can tell.. Here's why.... in a nutshell..

1. If I get in at 8am, I get off at 4:30.. Seriously. SERIOUSLY. I mean.. WHAT?! No billables AND getting off at 4:30? Someone pinch me!!! lol!! I mean.. this is barring any projects I have going..which leads me to the next thing..

2. I LOVE the work. I mean.. I havent actually DONE anything yet, but I read everything Vanessa and Michelle (the other Communications Specialists) have written recently that I'll be doing and it's going to be challenging, but SO interesting. So, I am pumped!!! I mean.. we're talking everything from large scale lectures, agent rallies, etc to news articles in the company publication and website information. But, that's only going to be PART of what I do. I get to plan, write-both creatively and strategically, travel a little... ah.. :)

3. The people in my dept are awesome. Simply awesome. I mean.. it was day one.. I know that, but seriously.. They are all great people. Plus, the company as a whole is SO enthusiastic and motivational for the most part. I love that. I mean.... I have weekly conference calls with the people on my team through the region.. LOVE that..

4. They have an on site cafeteria.. with good food.... Yeah. Seriously. :)

5. I have a huge window in my office!! I love it!!! My office might not be as "legal-esque" as it was at the firm but its awesome...and moreover it just "feels" better. I love it!!

6. I have a cool badge. (okay, I needed an even number.. deal with it)

So, I got off work and went to find stuff to decorate so now I'm tired.. I have to go run a couple errands then will likely hit the hay. I couldnt sleep last night.. at all.. So I hope I will do better tonight... It seemed like I would just fall asleep last night and something would wake me up.. Dont you hate that?!

Okay, in a nutshell, every job has its bad days.. I know.. but the feeling I get here is just so good.... :) I'm looking forward to this...even the getting up early part isnt so bad.....

My last weekend of unemployment....

Soooo.. today, Shelbs and I saw Knocked Up. Funniest. Movie. EVER.. Okay, not EVER, but funniest movie I've seen in a LONG time.. It had a lot of great one liners and I actually laughed out loud like a hundred times!!! I wanna see it again!! Seriously!!!!!! For once I like a movie that got great reviews!! I dont wanna spoil it... but damn it's funny. Go see it! Call me! I'll go again!!!!! (that was a lot of exclamation points.. sorry)

Shelby is a bar exam rockstar... already.. Please see the photo of her SHOWER with the flow charts taped up. Yeah, it's that bad, people. Gah.. Im so glad I did that.. so I could take this job where Im not even practicing law! LoL! Kidding.. It was worth it.. but man.. no more bar exams for me if I can help it. Never say never, I guess.. "lather, rinse, assault and battery..." Whatever. :)
So, went out Sat night b/c Sara had a girl friend in town from San Francisco. I wasnt really in the mood to party like a rock star, but we certainly did. I had a good time.. and got some fun photos.. but I'm kinda craving some other activities.. like bowling, movies.. I'm getting old and boring. Please stop me from blogging if I start talking about my socks or something. Thank you. I am, however, really liking the new trend to wear little sundresses!!
I'm SO excited to start work!! I got a blender (not as bad as sock talking yet...but getting there) and some fruit! Gonna make smoooooothies in the morning! Someone stop me! I'm so domestic!! I am pumped about having a commute!! I know it sounds lame.. but I am so used to getting to work in like 5 minutes.. It had its benefits, but I mean.. I was barely even READY to be at work when I got there.. I like listening to the radio, etc.. I LIKE to drive. (famous last words, right) I'm totally nervous though b/c I'm "the new girl".. ya know.. the one that people whisper about like "wonder if she's a bitch..." "gah.. she's young..." ya know.. stuff like that.. I'm paranoid. Officially. I havent been the new girl in 4 years tho...

Aaron recommended I take tennis shoes to work in the car in case founders day involves activities (cause we WILL be picnic-ing) Oh sheez.. like I needed THAT stress. We all know I'm not the most athletic.... A three legged race will lock me into loser employee status for sure!!! lol!!! Kidding!!! I am just pumped that people have been so nice thus far.. I mean.. calling me (4 times by 4 different people) to make sure Im comfortable for jeans day and not wearing a suit. :) My co workers are thoughtful! (insert "aww" face) lol!!

Didya watch the MTV movie awards? Sarah Silverman really socked it to Paris Hilton!! LOL!!! The look on her face was freaking priceless! I havent finished watching it yet.. I dvr-ed... Its a good thing.. b/c its only been on three times already.. I could have totally missed it. (eye roll).. :)

Soooooooooooo... I got the State Farm job!! I got offered the job last week, but wasnt telling anyone til everything was final. So... it's final! I start Monday!!! I'm excited, but must admit it's a leeeetle bittersweet b/c I had pretty much decided to move to Chi town. *sigh* Oh well! Everything happens for a reason and I really AM excited! :)

Monday is apparently "founders day" and everyone is supposed to wear jeans and tennis shoes... Um.. my first day?? I was told to NOT wear a suit. Please advise!!! I dont want to look slopperiffic!!! Shelbs suggested jeans, a cute shirt and a blazer. Blaze suggested cropped pants and a cute top or something. I like both ideas.. I dont wanna be a snob that didnt heed the "dress casually" warnings.. but I dont wanna show up in tennis shoes on my first day!

"Who IS Will Traveler?"

Okay, so I think I am going to become obsessed with this show. Chris, if you're reading, please become obsessed as well so we can theorize.

So, you've seen the previews... I saw the previews.. and thought "SNORE!" but I remember that I thought the LOST previews looked stupid too before the show started.. so I gave Traveler a shot!!

Here's the plot:

ABC's Traveler is about Jay, Tyler and Will who have been best friends for the past two years, living, working and partying together. A simple prank to rollerblade through New York's most famous museum seconds before the museum is bombed turns Jay and Tyler into prime suspects for the explosion, but Will is nowhere to be found. In order to prove their innocence, the two try to find Will, their only alibi. The problem is, every picture from the last two years, Will managed to block his face, and they can't even prove that Will exists. To further point fingers, the explosion was triggered by a call from Jay's cell phone. Now the two must rely on each other to get away from the F.B.I while trying to get to the bottom of the conspiracy planned so meticulously by their best friend, Will Traveler.

Things I like:
1. It's like Prison Break.. but with a law graduate, a politician's son, and less prison.
2. It surprises me. I'm going to be conceited here, but it takes a LOT for a show to surprise me. I dont claim to be more creative than the writers, but... I get so angry when I predict EXACTLY what will happen before it happens.
3. There's not much on this summer.. and I need a show to replace What About Brian (since it was cancelled in case you didnt know). What About Brian was stupid anyway.
4. As a trial practice class once told me.. you should never give the jury 2 + 2 = 4. Instead, you just give them 2+2 and make them figure out the 4 part... It does that. I'm a fan.


Things I dont like:
1. Will Traveler? Really? That's the best name they could come up with for the guy that allegedly blew up the building. Then, the other two friends are SURPRISED when this "Will Traveler" cant be found in any database. Right. My name is Jessica Airplane. I mean.. that's about as dumb.
2. It's like Prison Break. I like PB, but I dont expect a repeat of the same.

Okay, well.. I ranted. Now go to ABC.com and watch it.

1. WHAT IS UP with the dude who had TB on an airplane?? What the hell? Although, I read an article that said he was likely not extremely contagious (I would still be freaking out if I was on that plane). Seriously. My mind keeps playing screaming monkeys from the movie Outbreak right now.. Yikes!!!
2. I want to go canoeing or kayaking. Yeah. I really do. Wanna come? I looked it up. I think we can do it in OK.
3. Maybe its b/c Im bored.. or unemployed.. but I dont think so.. I really want to give back.. I dont mean getting involved in social organizations.. I want to volunteer. I think it's mean to get a little sister with Big Bros and Sisters b/c I dont know if I will be in T town for a long time, but I wanna do something that makes a difference like that. I LOVE animals, but I think I would bring them all home.. I am thinking Habitat for Humanity or DVIS or something like that.. Wanna come??
4. Have any of you driven to Amarillo? Curious as to how long it takes or how miserable the drive is.. Tell you why later.. :)

How could I forget...

....to blog about Alove from Thursday night!!! :) I'm so glad she flew in on Thurs so I got to see her before I left!!! Sad that I didnt get to see Lauren, too... but Alove, Shelby and I had a blast. Please also note the photo below...since we met MTV's Derrick from the Road Rules Extreme (with Jodi, Kina and Ibis in 2004) and now from the MTV challenges! I am either a total loser... or everyone in Tulsa is uninformed.. b/c not many people knew who he was.. lol!

I'm currently watching kiddie pageant queens on Vh1...what is WRONG with people? *sigh* The little girls are putting in a retainer with fake teeth to replace their little kid ones.. oh and fake spray tans.. YIKES!!! Oh well..All I have to say is my friend who used to do pageants during our whole elementary and middle school careers found me on myspace and is now...um.. well.. I just think it's more important to teach a child about education than about relying on your looks to succeed in life. I won't get on that soapbox. It's sad really.

Oh, and you know how Oklahoma's bar passage rate is typically in the high 80 percent- low 90 percent range? Well you know now. Yeah.. California's Feb bar results were just posted the other day...and the Cali pass rate was 36 percent.. as in 1,900 of the over 5 thousand applicants passed. Holy. CRAP.

Oh, I booked a massage at the community college with someone a friend suggested!! I am really excited and hoping it will make my back feel better!! I could get THREE massages at the community college for the price I paid at the spa/salon I used to go to.. but I reallllllly like the girl at the salon...but hopefully this will be just as good! I never really cared about the salon; I just really liked my massage therapist there, so I dont mind being a traitor.. lol! :)

I like to theorize in the a.m. after LOST... Yeah.

Okay, so not really a spoiler, but a theory... The theory is that there is a 3rd force/group on the island.. that may even have been telling the Others/Ben what to do. They are gonna show up totally BAD and the others and survivors are gonna have to team up against them. Yes. This could be why they were building a runway.. they were TOLD to. Hmm.. Also, I agree with Chris (see The Real Deal blog) about Naomi being from Dharma and being flown in to check on things.. The pic of Desmond was b/c he was the only one they knew about being in the hatch maybe.. and therefore the only one they could trust? Maybe. It's possible.. but how did they know Desmond was there? Hmm.. Also, I didnt think about Locke being the one in the casket in the flashes, but it would make sense why Kate didnt go.. and why there was no family.. So, maybe its not Sawyer ....

Also, as I was putting even more thought than necessary into the episode last night, Jack told the other doctor to just "get my father down here.. and If I'm drunker than he is ,you can fire me..." WHAT?! I mean.. Jack was up on pain meds, but he seemed coherent up til that.. I mean.. is his dad NOT dead? Is it maybe possible that whatever took those people to Sydney just plain old didnt happen? I mean.. is it possible that only the islanders remember the events and for everyone else, it's like the course of events taking them to the island never happened? Interesting. Or is it possible that the series of events is just different? Like.. the islanders were living in a different time and space when they were headed for the island and then everything re-corrected itself? I think it could have something to do with them possibly existing in a different time or series of events in the show...which is why Ben controlled contacting the outside world and wouldnt let pregnant people leave. Must develop this theory. Yes.
