TGIF

Hello all and happy Friday!

Could the weather BE any prettier?! Seriously! :)

Soo.. I need to vent again. This week has just been vent-tastic. So, you know I'm burned out a little and have been way looking forward to the Vegas conference next week. Well, a bill is going up before the Legislature next week on Wedneday (the day of my flight). Our lobbyist is set to handle testimony, so all is good with the world. That is.. until I got the call from the maternity leave girl's boss saying it would be a "good experience" for me to change my flight, go to testify and then go to the conference late. I'm waiting to get a call back from MY boss to get her thoughts. I can make it happen...and I will if I have to. But I just feel like I got in trouble for a dumb magazine deadline, but get ignored when I fly out in an ice storm last minute or miss my conference, etc... I guess I just dont feel like it will matter at review time (which is Tuesday btw).

Okay, no more of that. I just needed to vent. :) I need to finish editing a newsletter, but I think I'm gonna bail and take my laptop b/c I'm totally unmotivated after that phone call....

Here's hoping for my boss saying "That's crazysauce! NO way!" Crossyourfingerscrossyourfingers.

Oh, and Michele let me a pilates dvd.. I've been doing it this week and I'm SORE. Love it! Who knew I'd like pilates? *shrug* Granted, I fast forward all the "stretch your spine" crap b/c well.. my spine is broken... Eh. Whatev.

Have a great weekend, everyone!! Cheers to warm weather! :)

WHO ACCIDENTALLY EATS AN ENGAGEMENT RING?! Wow.

LOST******************************************************************
Dude. At first, I wasnt into it. I didnt like the "three years later" crap...or the dharma stuff. So.tired.of.dharma. But...then they kinda twisted it...and injected some life into Sawyer's character. I was getting tired of him being angry guy with the gun, so glad about that! Faraday is about to have a breakdown and start killing people if he sees mini Charlotte again. Miles was actually funny last night (think: "to the beach...then we'll go back to the orchid..then to the beach.. those are the only plans you people have." hahaha! Right on, Miles! Juliet and Sawyer...hmm....what to think? I like that it's not a Sawyer-Kate decision, though.. It's also a Jack decision. I mean..he left Juliet, too. Sooo...this could be interesting. I really think somehow the Losties are gonna have to stop Dharma from being destroyed..or something. I LOVED the Alpert scene from the eyeliner comment (haha) to Sawyer confusing the bejesus out of him. Loved.it.all. Overall, really great episode and curious where they're gonna take it from here... I really want a Ben/Locke beatdown (Locke beating Ben of course). I want to decide whether I like Alpert b/c right now, I have no idea...

ETC *************************************************************************
I came home at 3 to let the gas company in b/c by this point, I thought I had a gas leak (I could hear it!). He fixed it. Unimportant. Anyway, turned on Ellen while I worked on my sofa and she was interviewing Melissa from the bachelor!!

Facts: * Melissa knew he was dumping her, but did NOT know about Molly. *Melissa knows he contacted Molly at least once to check on her. *Emails have been leaked out there btween she/Jason..and they're real. *She's dating someone now and is happy. Crazy!

Ellen also has that damn couple on who got engaged and she ate the engagement ring accidentally. Dude. Im over them. They've been on EVERYTHING. Talk about stupid. He put her ring in a FROSTY and she ATE IT accidentally. And Ellen gave them a honeymoon! What?! I'll eat a damn diamond. Give me a vacation. Thanks. Stupid people. *shaking head*

New day, new mood

I got up extra early to walk G money extra long. :) The weather's gorgeous!! And watching her romp and play makes me smile.

I opened my balcony french doors while I got ready this morning.

I wore my "cant miss" outfit... a white baby tee and jeans.

I'm sincerely hoping for some patio activity tonight/tomorrow.. I dont know what.. maybe a happy hour or something. It's just too pretty to waste. Been trying to think of something I need to get accomplished outside this weekend, too... or maybe just sit outside and not accomplish anything..haha...

Anyway, maintaining positive attitude.. here we go. :) And... I'll blog about Lost later...maybe over lunch...

And...things I'm convinced will take a couple days off your life:
* thinking you sent an email, text, message to the wrong person (think to the person you're actually complaining about in the body of the message..haha)
* Speeding like a bat out of hell and thinking you see a cop...

Feel free to add to my list....

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.........

...and now my stupid pilot light is out and wont light again. GRrrrrrrr.. I heeeaaar you, gas line, trying to light!!! (Picture me contorting my body with a flashlight, a lighter, while laying on the ground, pushing down the "pilot" thing and saying "No, Gracie.. No....move..." Not pretty..haha) Thank Gawd for 80 degree weather projected tomorrow and the next day.

What.a.day.  I dont know why this work thing is bugging me so much. I think I'm just frustrated. Working virtually (with your boss in another city) gets kinda weird, I think. Michele and I agree we're kinda at a disadvantage with all that sometimes when it comes to "miscommunications" on the communications team. :)

I also think part of me feels badly for even complaining at all...b/c everywhere you turn, there's a message about the economy. And I dont want to jinx my job..haha... But, I guess ya gotta vent sometime...

If only I could teach Gracie to play with my hair...haha.. Otherwise, she's a pretty good cuddle buddy....

Tomorrow, I shall start with a positive attitude (but likely take a long lunch...). :)

In other news, TU won tonight. GO TU!!! Chips and Sal.sa.

And now.. I should go to bed, but instead, I am immersing myself in the world of Lost. I mean.. what else would I blog about tomorrow?! ;)

Moustache?

In other news....

--I'm not traveling this week. My boss had a meeting come up and therefore cant do my review. I'd really like to get er done, though....Blah.

--I now have "put a ring on it" in my head. Hell.

--Vegas sounds like it's gonna be arooooound 70 while we're there. Pretty, but not pool weather. *shrug* I can handle it. I dont think I'm bikini ready yet anyway...haha...I need motivation. I dont know where to find it *awkwardly peering around desk like it's gonna be hiding there*

-- Had my life insurance interview today (for my policy to be underwritten). The back issue sparked about 10 min of questions. *sigh* We'll see if they approve me. haha.. Since when did I become a risk?!

--Gonna go eat my leftover Pei Wei. Yum. Just an FYI. My fortune says: Your cheerful outlook is one of your assets." Aww.. That's sweet. Thank you, Fortune Gods. *smile* The word on the back is moustache. We'll just ignore that part.

Hi. You're a tool.

Yada yada.. It's a reality show and frankly, from reading some of the comments at Chris Harrison's blog, people are taking it way too seriously. It's kinda crazysauce. Anyway that said, Jason is a toolbag. It looked awfully scripted on the After the Final Rose Two. I mean... my favorite was Molly's reaction to him just having sent his ex fiance away in a limo.. "Omg. What about Melissa? *gasp* You want me to have coffee with you *shocked look*...pause...pause..." Then they made out. Umm.. really?! Yeah. Gross. Get some self esteem, Molly, b/c ABC and Jason just made a fool out of you.

Scripted or not, I really dont think Melissa had any idea he actually wanted to choose Molly when she was selected and proposed to. Dude. Jason. Newsflash..if you're "so confused," how about you dont put a ring on it. Just sayin...when someone proposes to me, I'm hoping they're not "confused" about whether they want to be with me...haha.. What a jacka**.

Whatever. I wasnt a loyal viewer anyway except for Firestone's season (b/c he's hot. duh.) and Deanna's season (thus leading to this one). I think the premise is a total crock, but doesnt change the fact Jason's a tool.

One more thing... Molly raises her eyebrows when she talks. It creeps me out. *doing imitation at my desk and laughing at myself* Hoorah for Mel calling him a bastard under her breath.

Oh and all the "This is making history" etc that Chris Harrison says is just plain weird and creepy.

The weekend...in pictures :)

I'm kinda darth vadering it out on the sofa watching Bros & Sisters. Yeah, the allergies are staging an attack..or maybe I have a cold (but I wont really admit that).

The weekend was fun!! I actually took pics! Sooo...without further adieu...

Friday=time with friends! From Oscars to Senors to White Owl....I rocked my very first vest. I felt rocker-chic. I like.

Saturday, housewarming at one of my new friend's, Beths (the tall blonde in the middle). :) Havent seen Scottastic in forever and got to meet Steve Cluck (inventor of Dont Hate the 918-in hat) :) The group photo kinda makes my boobs look like torpedos.. hahaha!

Sunday (today) Is GRACIE'S BIRTHDAY! She's two!! I went to the dog dish like I did last year, got a peanut butter cupcake and some puppy turkey bacon pizzas! She got some new toys (showing them off for the camera below) and I sang to her. I dont think she cared about the singing. Whatever.

Sunday morning, went to a quick breakfast with Audra n Mike. :) They were in for a sad visit (her granddad passed):(, but I'm glad they were able to make a quick, last minute breakfast on their way outta town. :)

For some reason, Eric and I both dig old warehouses. So, when we saw an abandoned one, we decided to stop...and climb a winding stairwell...which opened up to a weird little building thing and a cool rooftop! Oh, then, I took a pic acting like I was driving an old car.. I dunno. Whatev.

Sunday=Lipizzaner Stallions! It was aweeeeesome! Horses are just so beautiful...and these guys were no exception. I cant tell you how thrilled I am that we have the BoK center. We get the chance to see such awesome acts we otherwise wouldn't and it really breathes life into downtown... I just love it!! :)

Countdown to the Bachelor finale! WOOHOO! :) Oh..and I went to the TU Young Alum meeting...I'm officially chairing TU on Tap. Eh, whatever. It's cool... should be kinda fun actually. :) Hope you all had a fantabulous weekend!

It's so hard to say goodbye...

No, no its not. Seeeeeeyah, February!!! Don't call me; I'll call you. And you're trying to go out with a bang.. what gettin all cold n crap today. Hmph. Whatever. You just gave me a reason to wear a cute sweater and boots one last weekend... TAKE THAT, FEBRUARY. I wont play your little games...

So, I may or may not have been laughing at this site for 20 minutes. It's stuff like this that makes me laugh so hard I almost pee. And it's not even that funny. I'm a weird kid. Weird.

Michele's daughter, Piper, colored me a few pictures! In one of them, she colored me African American. *perplexed look*

I went to sleep at 10 last night so I'm particularly saucy today...mmm...rest does a body good. Also went tanning for the first time in awhile.. They got new bulbs. My arse is burnt and I have a little "goggle line" I had to cover. Oddly, I was excited. I need summer. That is all.

The Biggest Tool In The History of the World

If you watch the Bachelor, you'll be intrigued. It's not a spoiler. It's speculation. But, it's speculation getting a LOT of attention...even from ABC. If it's true, I'm done with the show. Forever. And I think people will start sending Jason hate mail. I hope it's not true... *sigh*

READ THIS.

Is it me or does "following people" sound creepy?

I'm not patient enough to add everyone to my follow list. So just know I'm following you and I love you. That is all.

Today, I may have gone to the mall for eyeshadow...and may have returned with quite a bit more. Whatever. No more Holiday gift cards...*shrug* It also miiiight be sad that the guy at Camille's waves at me, tells me the status of his brother's new baby, and automatically makes my sandwich when I walk up. Whatever.

I like how many of us were at Ulta yesterday... *insert Twilight Zone song*

Okay, it's safe to talk about Lost now since it looks like most of you watched it. :) The Lost Diary is good this week per usual. I am SO confused this week. Who is good? Ben? Locke? Widmore? I DONT think Widmore is good. Much like Lost Diary guy, I see a parallel between Locke/his dad with Locke/Widmore. Therefore, Widmore is no good. Kudos to Locke for figuring out Christian is Jack's dad. But, why did the "Mrs. Hawking" thing make Ben lose it?! And why kill him when he was already gonna kill himself?! What?! And.. Lost Diary guy things Faraday is Mrs. Hawking/Widmore's son. Interesting theory, me thinks...How old is Faraday though? I mean... Mrs. Hawking seems kinda old. But, age doesnt matter on this show... Anyway, I'm beginning to think it's Ben vs. Locke and I'm on team Locke. And what about the new people who crashed? I dont know if I like them or not yet. I DO like them better than the couple who ended up buried alive (the new random islanders who showed up a few seasons ago). Ahh.. enough about Lost. I could go on forever.

Any Stephenie Meyer fans out there read The Host? I kinda want to since I liked Twilight, but thoughts are appreciated.

And.. congrats to us all for almost making it through February! :) I have to say this was one of the best February's I've had in awhile...Cheers to March around the corner, though.. I'm so ready to get out of this scary little month.

Tidbits

So, after Carrie's comment about my hair (my bangs always being on that side), I saw she was right. But, I was like "wait, that is SO not the pic I posted... Im.so.confused." So, I checked...and photobooth automatically reverses photos...like in a mirror! I had no idea! I thought I was losing it... haha... The amount of time it took for me to realize it really should go unmentioned...

Thought you'd laugh at my frustration/confusion. :) I did.

Tonight, one of my fav soon-to-be baby mamas, Sarah, and I hit up ITR! Good times! :) We also decided we go there too much when we know our server is new... or at least fairly new since neither of us have ever seen her. Just sayin.

Lost was amazing tonight. AM.A.ZING. I wont ruin it in case you're watching it late... but AMAZING, people. *nodding slowly with wide, omg eyes."

Finally, Ashley and I have been trying to figure out why the hell stupid blogger wasnt letting people make comments on her new blog... She figured it out and now it's all fixed! If you've got a chance, give her a shout out to welcome her to the fabulous world of blogging! :)

Oh..and OMG.. tonight.. I was driving to Ulta...(as in on 41st and Yale..not scarytown or anything) and saw...a football player looking dude.. yes DUDE...in a shiny gold dress with obviously stuffed bra walking down the street! I was like "OMG! I think I just saw my first cross dressing hooker!" I was excited, despite the likely perplexed look on your face right now. Whatever. (Speaking of hookers, Michele and I are determined to get a photo with the creepy guys who hand out those cards on the streets in Vegas. It'll be funny. I promise you that.)

Wednesday Goodness

Alright people. In case you cant tell, my job is either feast or famine. This week, it's more famine so I've got some spare time. So, I posted some "good internet reads" and thought "I'll do a post about good sh*t today." So, here's the result....

Good reads on the net today: Topless Coffee Shop opens, History of Mafia Names, Review of last night's Presidential Address (which I thought was awesome btw), Life on Other Planets (insert "you are not alone" song..haha), Student Busted for Domestic Violence (funny)

Good watch on youtube: Everything's Amazing and Nobody's Happy.

Good thing about lent: I'm giving up cursing. It's really not ladylike anyway (rationalizing). (Note: Hell and Damn do not count. We're talking larger scale unladylike here). I read some people are giving up facebook. *nervous face* I'm a sad, sad person that can't commit to that.

Good thing about the hair: Good, needed boost for springtime! (Now if I can only recreate it when I try all by myself).

Good thing I wasted time on: Flight to Mexico are like 300 bucks for early summer. I dont know if knowing that excited me or depressed me....

Good blouse I think I want at Banana: Saw it on omiru.com. Dunno about the coral, though...hmm...(When did I start using the word "blouse?" hahaha...).

Good work-related thing: Just found out...I dont have to travel this week. Yeah-yuh.

Good work-related thing #2: I got an "achievement award" in the way of a (small) bonus last week. (Being recognized-large or small scale-for hard work is awesomesauce)

Two good websites I stole from Eric and stalk daily now: Reddit, Digg

Good thing about Wednesdays: Three words: LOST. IS. ON.

Good quote (that I've always loved): "You only live once, but if you do it right, once is enough."-Mae West.

Good thing about today: I leave for Vegas in exactly two weeks (for the work conference). Cheesy Vegas pictures here I come...

(Does the cursing thing count if I have asterisks instead of letters? I dont think so.)
