Cheating is Fun!!

-hahaha!

Things:
* I loved Michael (new haircut guy) and booked him for 7 weeks out. Yeah. I know. Gonna have to tell my stylist sometime. *sigh* Whatever.
* I changed my bangs to the other side. Whatcha think? He didnt cut it that way; I just think I like it better...
* Okay, I'm done being self centered. Thank you for your attention.
* XOXO.

Coke In Glass Bottles Makes Me Happy

First, you all rock my socks! Thanks for the advice. I ended up lying. I really love her...and dont want to hurt her feelings just b/c I'm having a bipolar stint and want to try something new.

Speaking of, do you know how hard it is to find a personal trainer in this town?! Jeez.us. I dont want to join a different gym! Stop trying to make me, you bastard gym salespeople! It's like that Friends ep where they cant quit the gym..haha.. I like my gym. I just want like 4-6 sessions with a trainer b/c post broken back, I feel like a one woman show trying to do some of my old, familiar workouts b/c some stuff hurts. I called Platinum (where my friend trains) b/c I didnt have time to meet with the guy as anticipated. Anyway, they were rude AND wanted me to join. I told him "Look, dude. You either train nonmembers or you dont. I feel like I'm talking to a car dealer. Thanks, but no thanks." (and hung up).

Omg.. I havent even told you. I said I'd "help" with the young alum homecoming commitee. While out of town, I got an email last week saying "Thanks for volunteering to chair the commitee!" Um. WHAT?! I need to take care of this, but really dont have the drive to do anything about it right now. Avoidance=best policy today.

The economy sucks and I prolly shouldnt want to take a vacation, but I do. I want to badly. I want a beach. And sun. And waves. And people speaking other languages. And sand in uncomfortable places. And local beer. And relaxation. And adventure. And breakfast listening to the ocean in the background. And coke in glass bottles. And a sarong. Yeah, I really want a sarong. And comfortable silences relaxing under a palm tree. And snorkeling. And I'll even take the "I'm a clumsy asshole" injuries. And maybe, just maybe even another broken rib. (I know, I'm going off the deep end).

At least I get to have a scalp massage/shampoo twice today. Who needs palm trees when strangers masage your head? Yeah. That's all I've got.

Lying and Cheating...Advice Needed

I know I know.. I'm a lawyer. These things should come naturally.

Tomorrow at 9am I have an appt with my stylist.
Tomorrow at 4:45, I have an appt with another stylist.

I'm getting it dyed at the old faithful...and cut somewhere else. *Nervous* I love my stylist as I've said many times, but she's not the trendiest when it comes to cuts. I've told her...and I dont think she understands fully what I mean. Sooo it's time to give someone else a shot. He recently cut my friend, Sara's, hair and he did a great job...so we'll see! But, I dont trust him enough to let him dye it (lest we remember the Anna Nicole Smith job someone did on me years ago when I cheated last time. I had to go CRAWLING back to my stylist to beg her to fix it. It was pathetic.)

So, here's the hard part... options:
1. Lie 1: "I'm thinking of growing out my hair.. I dont want it cut this time." (However, she could try to trim it if I say this to keep it healthy).
2. Lie 2: "My friend works for Clary Sage and I'm gonna be a volunteer for her for something they're doing so they're gonna trim it..." (Please note: I've used this before...over a year ago...and it worked) (yes, Blaze, I used you. And I might do it again). ;)
3. Lie 3: Anything else. ("Friend got her license and is giving me a free cut" or "Got it cut at my conference in Vegas" or "Got a gift card for a spa day from my boss/friend/dog that includes a haircut.")

Problems: If I dont let her cut it, I have to come up with a story as to WHY it's cut if I go back there to her...which I might. I'm a loyal person damnit...and I've been going there for 4 years. So, unless I LOVE this guy, doubt I'll completely abandon mine yet...even if that means continued dye/cuts from two different people for awhile..haha....

The truth is not an option people.

In other news, it's that time of year where I neeeed a change! I feel blah! I'm looking forward to Vegas to kinda shake up the monotony of winter's hum drums and get pumped for spring. Dude. In Dallas the other weekend, I saw an AWESOME dress at the BCBG outlet. I didnt "need" it for anything, so I let it go... Now, here I am thinking "Duh. Vegas. and Duh. High School Reunion." I'm a moron. *sigh* A moron with two hair appointments.

C'Moooonnnn Spring!

So I obviously changed my layout! I was very proud of my banner making skills so dont make fun b/c I know it's not exactly high tech...hahaha.. I wanted more color and pictures! :)

Soooo...before I get in to the weekend, my lips are almost 100% better! Look at ALL the chapsticks that were in my purse (no, that's not ALL I've used)...versus the thing I read about, aquaphor. Yeah, just one night of that stuff was like a religious revival for my lips.

Here's my new rug in my living room! I wanted it to go under the dining table, but I didnt like it there. Therefore, rearranging the apt began around..oh...1pm Saturday...haha.. I took up both area rugs, put this one there and did a little "refreshing" around the place. :) I really dont love it there long term...but for now, it's cool. (Gah, I want to buy a house.. I wanna paint something! sigh)
Friday night was a shoe/wine/purse party and girls night! :) For some reason, we started throwing up peace signs and saying "duces" (I blame Kristy). This pic is hilarious...b/c it's NOT after too many drinks... It's just our own version of what "duces" means.. hahaha!

Saturday, Eric and I went to the TU bball game! Good times. We also watched Body of Lies (Leonardo)... Good movie, me thinks...Sunday was full of fatty foods, car washing, blog changing, and playing with G money. She's very excited to have a featured place on this blog. I can tell...even though she's snoring. (You can see where she sleeps on top of the sofa while I'm on the laptop in that pic above.. cute dog. Cute, cute dog).

Hope you had a fabulous weekend!! :)

Hidden Meanings, Anyone?

Soooo...You know I'm a total sucker for conspiracy theory. Duh. Well, this is actually pretty scary stuff, people. Remember the controversy about the Denver Airport... why there? why then? why so much money? why so much time? Blah blah.. I even remember that. Anyway, there's a theory that there's MUCH more to the airport than meets the eye...think underground base more. Anyway, some say it was supposed to be some headquarters. Some say it's aliens. I just say it's interesting. *shrug* Read here. If nothing else, the murals are some crazy sh*t. (do a google image search). Anyway, weird. And now I feel like I've been tagged or something for even writing about it. It's been nice knowing you all. haha! Anyway, I say "theory" b/c it's just that... a theory..

BUT.. you know what's not?

Brit's new song.. If You Seek Amy! haha! Radio Stations are blocking it. Go listen to it. Go. Or here it is for you. Now listen... listen... Is it If you Seek Amy... or "F.U.** me?" Eh? Oh, Brit Brit, you've done it again... cracks me up. Weekend pics to follow. :)

She might be doing Chris Angel if....

Uh, watching Girls Next Door while I clean my apt... Hey Hef, wanna know how you can tell your girlfriend is sleeping with Chris Angel?

* She dresses up like him for Mardi Gras
* She wants a pictorial doing a "magic trick" while chained to the bottom of the pool

Just sayin. Articles say he was "shocked" so..yeah.. Well.. Happy Saturday! :)

(although, I think I'm creeped out that she dressed up like someone she was banging. Weird. *shudder*)

Chapped.Like my Mood.Hmph.

My lips are still chapped. Yes, as in from when I posted about lip cancer..haha.. They're STILL chapped. They go away, mind you, but not all the way gone, then come back with a vengeance.

This week=vengeance. I switched chapsticks in Little Rock and I think I might be allergic to SOMETHING in ONE of the zillion I've used. I have no idea what ingredient hates me.

The skin around my lip is even reddish. :( I licked my lips a TON in Little Rock, though, b/c I couldnt always get to my chapstick in the meeting. I think that made it worse.

Anyway, I've been reading.. and if you're tired, have headaches, and chapped lips, you might be anemic. Well, I've had all those things. Also, if you've switched toothpaste, the anti tartar kind can cause chapped lips.. I use that kind. All the other things, yeah.. do that too. So, whatever. I'm anemic with bad toothpaste. I'm just annoyed.

I wanted to leave work early today, but my vp wants to meet in 15 minutes. I have no idea what it's about. Hoping she has magic chapstick to give me. Eh? Just a thought.

Anyway, I dont know why I'm so pissy about my lips. I think it reminds me of my chin cold sore before I knew what it was.. not that my lips look like a cold sore (they dont) but that I dealt with it for so long. I'm whiney. I know.

I have a girls night tonight. And I'm ready. Just sayin.

The Rock

HOORAY for time with friends! Thanks so much for coming out to play while I was in town, girls (and Nate). :)
Annnd...this has to be a good omen, right? Oddly, it's been kinda a weird week, though...But, my fortune....and my room...

But, uh, I dont know how much to trust it since this was on the bathroom door at the restaurant. Yeah, it makes about as much sense as me running back to the table to get my camera to capture the weirdness. Listening? Raindrop? Balcony? What?

We all got our moment with little Natetastic...from scarf-grabbing and lap bouncing to face-grabbing and kisses, Nate makes everyone all smiles!! :)

Got to see Aud n Mike's awesome new casa then headed to Kat n Karl's for some wine, SNL videos, and laughs :)
Hooray for fun in the Rock! Now stop twittering, beeotches and start commenting. I still dont think I'll ever get in to Twitter.. I'm trying.. but honestly... I just dont get it...hahahaha... I think I'll be a travel twitterer....haha... Work trips make me wanna twitter. (I like it. It sounds like I wanna fight something).

Anyway, great times when work meetings are where friends live!! And.. I think I want a new camera. Mine's seen better days... Whatev. :)

And, I got my tag today.. I dont really love the new tags.. They look like a wannabe statue of liberty from far away... They do. Just sayin.

"The island isnt done with you yet..."

I'm back! I got to see Aud, Kat, Nate, Melissa, Karl and Mike! (and Izzy the dog) :) I have photos, but I was too sleepy to upload them. Lo siento. They'll be up tonight prolly. And they're cute. :) Just sayin.

So, for now... I got home at approx 9:30pm and immediately sat to watch LOST! Yeah-yuh! WHAT.A.GOOD.EPISODE. As the Lost Diary guy also said, last night was perfectly paced. PERFECTLY. Sometimes they jump flasback/flashforward/present too much. But, last night...amazing. And... despite aswering a ton of questions (will they get back? how? Is Ms. Hawking really Faradays mamma-which we still dont 100% know I guess), it left us asking more"What happened to Aaron? Why did Sun leave her baby? Who beat up Ben? Who told Hurley to board the plane? What's going on with Sayid? Who's the new guy from the airport/plane who is obviously not gone yet? Is Jin really in a Dharma outfit and if so, is it in the present or past? Who built the Lamp Post?!"

Ah... good job writers... GOOD.JOB. As the USA Today said so appropriately yesterday morning... Calling it one of the best shows on TV, the article said "Lost, which has become, if anything, even more complex, ricocheting through time with an almost willful disregard for the demands of more casual viewers." So true! They have their loyal viewers..and we're not going anywhere. :)

And, just for kicks, here's an excerpt from Lost Diary today that demonstrates why I love it:

9:43 -- I have a question (before we get to why Sayid is being led around in handcuffs like Kate was on 815) -- Is anyone surprised that Sun is leaving her kid behind to find Jin? Just saying ...

9:44 -- Apparently Hurley has purchased as many seats on the plane as possible and he's brought a guitar with him. Charlie's, perhaps?

9:45 -- Let me ask you this -- at this particular point, right now, is there ANYONE that you could see on the plane that would surprise you? If they pan through the seats and I see Boone, Shannon, my mom and Abraham Lincoln I wouldn't blink.

9:47 -- So Ben didn't tell Hurley to be on the plane. My guess is it was a Charlie ghost that did.

9:48 -- Remember when I said they couldn't possibly show me anyone on the plane that would surprise me?

9:49 -- "Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen and welcome to Ajira Air. This is your captain, Frank J. Lapidus." I was wrong.

Alright, off to buy my tag for my car! WOO HOO!! (Note the cheering before I spend close to a grande. Yikes.) Happy day before Friday, peeps.

Etc..

And...
1. Melissa rocks my socks on the Bachelor. Hopeless romantic-check. Super cute-check. Perky-check. Genuine-check. Made me tear up tonight-check. Love her! Team Melissa!!!!
2. I have a friend who doesnt read my blog and is talking about getting married. Here's all I'm gonna say... I think some people are more into the idea of a wedding than a marriage. Just sayin.
3. Did you see the youtube video of the jerky kids in Lawton? Way to make the national news for animal abuse, Oklahoma. Woo hoo. (It's really sad... warning if you're getting ready to look it up)
4. I should have been asleep two hours ago.
5. I dont know why I cant stop writing.

Goodnight.

sushi, spades, and overstuffed suburbans :)

The weekend was prolly ranked around...oh...whatever number would be awesomsauce. :)

Friday, sushi with friends. Someone was in town (friend of friend named Jenny.. You dont know her, so I'll move along quickly..haha) so we celebrated! Good times! :) Low key. Ended up at White Owl..which I dont think I'm a big fan of. It's so crowded. *sigh* Anyway...

Saturday, hung with G money, and Eric and I celebrated Valentines Day. :) Overall, a really great day! (And Eric and I won at spades...as in the first time I ever played.*insert victory thrust into the air*). Sunday, we headed to Ikea...yes...as in 4 hours away! Eric needed to get stuff for his house...and I well..I didnt really need anything except a road trip...haha...

So, we took a suburban and headed down there early Sunday to collect the goods... This is how it went down...

We had a spacious cargo area...that fit me....prolly stacked twice vertically on top of each other...See Jax demonstrating large cargo area in front of Ikea store.

We did the Ikea thing, found what he needed really fast... then proceeded to lo
ok at fabric, rugs, lights, shelves, etc etc etc etc etc etc etc (note the many etcs)... until we got to the warehouse around closing time (yeah, it took that long) still needing to get stuff off shelves. Please see the enthusiasm (and the large boxes we ..er...uh..Eric... was moving)

Buuuut, we...er uh.. Eric...got it all in the suburban somehow after three carts, mild frustration, out of stock items (that sold out while we were shopping) and tipping an Ikea worker to help (my broken back wasn't super functional) :)
(Please note the larger, long boxes were 160lbs each...yeah... we didnt factor all that in..haha...)
Anyway, it was actually really fun to get out of town, shop, hang, etc. Weekend=success. Just sayin. :) Oh, and I got a super cute (and CHEAP) area rug! I'll take a photo when I bring it upstairs (it miiiiight still be in the car... might).

I'll try to blog more from my hotel in the rock....yeah.. that's right.. LITTLE ROCK! I'll be there tomorrow...one day only (well, 2 days, one night). This week starts four weeks of traveling for me... But, this trip isnt so bad b/c I likely get to see friends. And the last trip is to Vegas for a conference.. so that'll be cool. But, gah..they're not LONG trips (not the whole week or anything), but still...4 weeks of off and on travels...*cringe* Look for pictures! Maybe I'll take funny ones from my 4 week tour.  XOXO! Jax...coming to a town near you....Goodnight.

I'm bringin sexy back....

hahahaha...

Anyway, ya cant see anything, can ya? Yeah, well...I can. :) The 7th vertebra is still compressed, no more no less than it already was. The 12th is the same, too, but not as compressed as 7 ended up being. So, that's good...for both of the fractures!! :) I got the typical "you'll have disk problems in 30 years or so no matter how much calcium you suck down...Dont do anything that hurts. The pain you're still experiencing off and on will continue quite awhile.." Blah blah blah.. But, it was another positive appt overall! No changes=healing!!! :)
Annnnd the best news is... I started out having appts once a month, then two months...and now I go THREE MONTHS for the next one...and he says if everything looks the same, I don't have to go back anymore!!! Yaaaay! I mean.. he's a nice guy and all (need a good orthopedic doc, lemme know), but I'm okay with not having to contort my body for xrays anymore. :) I'll also be okay with not having the medical bills anymore... Just sayin.

I'm so blessed and LUCKY that I'm walking and dont have to have surgery or anything right now. Sheez. I'm pretty much back to normal activities all the time, so that's AWESOME!!!! I also feel really fortunate that I know at an early age to start taking calcium now to avoid future issues. And I'm standing up straight!! (which I was once told I might not totally be able to do)

Anyway, I cannot tell how forward to the weekend I'm looking. I think it'll be a really good one. :) I'm determined to start with a positive attitude on Friday. No February jerkoffs are gonna get in my way tomorrow. Hmph.

Looking for entertainment? Newsweek has a mini video series going called "The District" about Barack's first 100 days....oh...and it's just like MTV's the City.. same music and all. hahaha! Watch it
