Shout out to Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse for getting it right!!! If you have NOT watched Lost, please stop reading...Oh my GOD, was that not the best season finale EVER?!!! I'm watching it again as we speak...

Number 1: Okay, so.. I wasnt paying NEARLY enough attn to the last scene the first time I watched it... HOLY. CRAP. HOLY. CRAP. Okay.. this puts all new meaning on it.. Who died? Sawyer maybe? Is that the funeral Jack went to?? That would make sense with the lack of family.. So, they got rescued.. and Jack obviously went off the deep end..and he and Kate aren't together? Boo on that! BOOOOOOOO!!! Can we please make that one of little Desi's flashes or something b/c I dont want all that to happen right now.... I AM SO INTRIGUED!!!! Oh. MY. GOSSSSSSSHHHH!!!!! I cant believe they are going to let them get rescued!! I mean.. WHAT?!

Number 2: "This island is under attack by stronger forces than its ever dealt with before.." said Ben. WHAT is THAT about?! I think Ben's back pain meds have kicked in a little strong.. Nut job.

Number 3: They were building a RUNWAY? Why?

Number 4: Sayid. kicks. ass. When he spit in that guy's face then tripped the other dude and broke his neck, I wanted to jump up and down!! Oh, and WAY. TO. GO. Hurley!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I actually threw my arms up victoriously at that part!! Sawyer kinda rocks, too.. although I didnt totally hate the guy he shot.. I dunno..

Number 5: Charlie really died. Boo. :( Cant say that I cried, though.. But, way for him to step it up in this episode. He went out looking like a tough guy instead of a wuss. I'm a fan. However, I am NOT a fan of them not noticing Russy McRussian had a bulletproof vest on despite the spear going through it a little.. Gah.. even I noticed that. Why the need to tell us the thing was programmed by a musician? Hmm... This is gonna be a tie-in later... I can feel it.

Number 6: They are SO not being rescued with this.. I mean.. they cant be, right?? I know the Jack/Kate thing.. but.... I mean.. what is that?? I dont think the girl with the radio is good. I dont think Ben is good either, but I still dont know about this parachuting dame. I mean.. if Penni didnt know her, how the hell did she have the photo?! I dont think they are supposed to be rescued.. I think Ben is a screwball, but he has that much right..

Number 7: Oh. My. GOODNESS! Hooray for the French woman being reunited with her daughter!!!!

Number 8: Locke has lost it. Seriously. All this ranting about Jacob is about to make me sick. The whole Jack story made me a little bored as well.. up until the Kate part.. Then, everything changed!!!

Number 9: Why was Dessie's little woman trying to radio the island? It looked like something she had totally done before... sitting there in front of the screen like that.. Hmmm......This perplexes me. Maybe her psycho dad's name is Jacob. THAT would rock.

Number 10: Walt went through puberty. He looked like a member of the 90s group Criss-Cross.. lol! Whatever. I heard Michael turned down the opportunity to be on the show, too, for this episode.. What is THAT about? Hmmm.....

Okay, I could go on and on..but that's where I sit.. Ahh.. Hooray for Lost pulling it together. Hooray! Hooray! Hoorfreakingay!!

Oh, and also.. way to go with the Desperate Housewives people pulling off a great season finale! Grey's writers need to learn from them. :)

New Layout! New Layout!

Lookie! I was productive!! lol! :) I have been stewing for 2 days on how to change my blog, what to name it, how to make it cuter, etc.. I was on the phone with Aaron and he said "how about roaring twenties.." Damn him for coming up with that so fast.. but also LOVED it, so I used it. :)

Also, tonight is the season finale of LOST! Last year's was a bit of a let down b/c it STILL hasnt come into play. So, basically they led us astray for no reason. However, tonight, I expect Sayid to kick some ass. I always expect him to kick some ass.. Gah... if I were going to have a bodyguard, it would be Sayid. If Lost ever killed him off, I would stop watching...or at least seriously think about it...

Handshaking, Rear Ending and Tuesday

1. My interview went well. I honestly have NO idea how well it went, though. There were some questions I felt like I rambled a little on, but I dont feel like I gave any bad answers. Do you ever get stuck using a word repeatedly??? I feel like I did that a lot with the word "arena"....like "well, a more corporate arena would allow..." Get it??! :) Anyway, there were 5 people, all of which were very, VERY nice!! In short, I would LOVE to work there, but who knows who I'm up against!! I was confident, but likely made a few blunders that I didnt even know about.. *sigh* I think I'd work really well with the people in the dept, but who knows... There were a lot of situational questions.. Outta my hands now...

2. On my way home, I got rear ended. AGAIN. Yeah, my poor bumper is pissed at life. So, I dont know what to do now b/c there is some damage from the accident today...but theres some damage from the accident last time.. So.. now what?! Sheez. My car is a MAGNET. Bloody hell.

3. The Bachelor picked Tessa...and I'm glad. I really didnt like Bevin. Plus, it seemed her speech pattern was more like his.. very "I. like. you....Andy...You.. are...special." hahahahahhaa.. Although, that's totally what the spoilers said it was, so I bet Tessa is in some serious trouble since she's the one who let it leak!!

4. I'm bored with my blog layout. I was trying to make a cool banner, but you have to have photoshop and I dont have it. Boo. :( So.. Im gonna play with it all day to figure out how to make the blog cooler... I am feeling very beachy (in case you havent looked at my myspace lately). :)

I'm here. Staying off the roads. Living in fear of cars slamming me from behind. Hoping they'll call and offer me a jobbie!!! :)

The Bachelor, Interviewing, and Operation Soul Mate.. WHAT?!

So, I'm watching the Bachelor that I dvr-ed.. I HATE watching it on time b/c I get annoyed at Andy's stammering things like.. "I (pause) have (pause) to..um.. pick....um.. (pause) one of you.. to...um... be (pause) with me..." Im interested to see if the spoiler was right about who he picks... If he wasnt a doctor, I would have no idea he was intelligent... When he called it "operationg soul mate," I kinda gagged a little.. yeah.. I did.

Anyhooo....I have my 3rd interview tomorrow.. Wish me luck!!! I feel like my brain is mush b/c it hasnt been "on" in awhile..in terms of thinking strategically in awhile... I am trying to have a little mental working out by reading cnn, etc.. lol. Hey..every bit helps, right? Sheez... I am so nervous...I could be headed in there with 1 person or 12 people.. I have no idea what to expect with this interview!!! I'm just trying to not be nervous.. but instead to be excited... *sigh* Its not really working... AGHHEROAWEIUDASKD! That's about what I feel like...I had Aaron ask me mock interview questions, so lets hope it helped.... :)

So, tonight, I bagged two HUGE bags of clothes to take to the Salvation Army.. Hooray!! My closets are small, my clothes are everywhere, my heart feels generous... So.. ya know.. You should really follow my lead and give shit away. It feels good. Do it. I still had oooooooooold stuff.... like my outfit that I wore on my 21st bday...and that dress I loved to wear on bid day?? Yeah.. still have that... Sheez...:)

I'm pumped to get outta town this weekend, but so sad I wont be here for Alove and Lauren's visits.. Damn. At least I get to see Ashley on Thurs night.. but still.. *sigh* Still SOOOOO excited, though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look for awesome pics!!!!!!!

Two chicks and no movers!

Pictured above: Laura and me about to enter the "Enchanted Boardwalk" at the Renaissance Faire.. :) Anyway, today, I helped her move. We planned on taking some stuff over then meeting the movers at her old place.. Um.. except they NEVER. SHOWED. UP. I think the best was that they called her at 8am to ask if they could come early b/c they had a cancellation. Not having signed her lease yet, she said that later was better.. They agreed to stick to the original time and call later. We called them at um.. 2.. and 3...and 3:30.. and on and on.. until they turned OFF their cell phone. Yeah. So, at about 5:45, she got a hold of another company to move her tomorrow. What jerks!!! I guess that's what we get for going with someone called "Smooth Movers" lol.. Seriously...they had a good rep. Whatev. Anyway, she and I were strong today and moved A. LOT. anyway. Hooray for us!! :) So, I'm tired and am home blogging on this lovely Friday night. :)

I also got my call for my 3rd interview with the company today. I mean.. I had gotten the call before, but it was kinda the "save the date" interview version.. lol.. So, I waited patiently to hear from them and they finally called today to set up a time for next week! Wish me luck, people!! I really want it!!! As Sarah would say.. "ooh.. NERVOUS..." ;) In other news, I have been applying like a mad woman to places b/c things seem to be opening up a little more.. So.. something has to pan out, right?! It's weird though.. b/c I WANT a job.. and I want one that Im interested in...but if I land one, I will still be bummed to not be moving to Chicago in all likelihood. I mean.. if I dont find one, I will be in Chi town for sure... What's meant to be is meant to be and I really DO want the job Im interviewing for... If I dont get it, I think Im gonna start applying in Chi town.. or maybe get a recruiter there or something... :)

So, Sweet Home Alabama was on tonight during my Friday night at home! :) I had NO idea that Reese's fiance in the show is PATRICK DEMPSEY!! I also think the whole baby-in-a-bar chick is the same chick in NOtes from the Underbelly.. but I could be wrong. They have the same first name.. I looked it up.. but she could have gotten married.. Hmm...

***SPEAKING OF GREYS*** WHAT. THE. HELL. happened last night?!!! I know infidelity is so bad.. but George and Izzy belong together. I dont like Callie and I dont know why.. Its kinda like when I refused to buy Shania CDs b/c I felt like she was working against Faith Hill. Whatever. It's all a competition with me. Anyway...also.. what is UP with Meredith's sister being the one who hit on Derek??? And you know what cracks me up?? Last week, I SOOO thought "gah.. she sounds like whiney Meredith" Hmm.. I read a spoiler for next season. She doesnt stop trying for Derek. Just FYI. George failed. That sucks. I am so pissed about the NONRESOLUTIONS with ANNNNNYTHING last night.. I mean. COME. ON. Give us SOMETHING. *sigh* I am glad the chief isnt resigning though... Poo... major poo...

Somewhat inappropriate rantings...

So.. in my sliiightly sleepy state (since I got up early to take my 5th grade quiz today at the temp agency), some things have entered my brain through commercials, etc.. and I feel like talking about them. Plus, Im in a sarcastic unfiltered mood which I may regret later...

Number 1: What the HELL is up with those (gentleman, dont keep reading, please) always pads with a sanitary wipe included?! I mean.. okay, all of us girls get our monthly visitor.. and I am damn thankful to get mine. TMI, but I'd be in much bigger trouble if I wasnt getting it. Okay, fine.. That said.. who needs a damn wipe?! Hell, for that matter, who uses pads?? You're disgusted.. but come on.. you agree.. and better yet.. Why are women always smiling in those damn ads like "YIPEEEEE I have a WIPE with my maxi pad!!!!"? Hell, why are there even ADS?! I mean.. we dont want to see them any more than I wanted to see my billable hours posted at the firm. I mean.. come on. I know where I'm at.. I know what I need to do.. I dont need to see it broadcast. Thanks. Again, wipes are weird. Just wanted to get that point across.

Number 2: Why do some pills have to be "taken with a full glass of water?" I mean.. what will happen if I dont?? Huh??! Is it that dangerous that I need THAT much liquid to go down with it?! I mean.. if so.. please allow me to toss more of those systemic drugs down my throat. What is THAT about? Additionally, what is UP with "do not take with dairy or acid." Okay, so you've gathered that I'm on an antibiotic for something totally not serious AT. ALL. But, obviously this drug is something to be reckoned with. Sheez! What exactly IS acidic, anyway? I mean.. I have to take it with food.. but I cant take it with my breakfast cereal (dairy AND orange juice...acid) and I cant take it without food and a full glass of water.. Okay.. enough..

Number 3: Why does America promote being overweight? WHY do restaurants only have happy hour specials on the most caloric beverage, beer? Now, I like beer, mind you.. But sheez.. Cant a girl get half price on a glass of wine? I mean.. make me look classy AND not gain the lbs.. now THAT would be something I'd have a happy hour about. Yes. "I'll take you special on the Reisling? Wha? Only til 7? Damn." lol!!

Number 4: Sometimes when I tell strangers/acquaintances Im no longer working at the law firm, they look at me kinda like the blonde (Cooper) looks at Julie (the over-the-top pregnant chick) in Notes from the Underbelly. Just sayin... I used to explain, but now I find it quite amusing to just perplex people.. lol!! :)

**Okay** Lost tonight!!! So, here's the dealio... Yes, I said dealio... Where is Locke? He's prolly the safest on the island aside from the whole bleeding to death thing. I mean.. no one is coming after HIM right now.. haha... And who were the GI Janes in the underwater hatch?! Ben's obviously lost it. I like how Rose and her hubby just kinda showed back up after being gone ALL. SEASON. Whatever. I thought Charlie's list was sweet and I rarely like Charlie. I'm ready for them to kick some ASS, but I saw that Sayid gets captured next week in the previews. Okay, not only is that unlikely, but it's lame. If they capture Sayid and Jack saves him, the show is going to shit. Sayid DOESNT get captured. HE'S SAYID. *sigh* Writers. Writers. Writers. I still want to know what happened with the whole French chick. I want HER backstory... :) All in all, last year, I was watching the season finale half asleep with Maureen on my sofa.. the first night of BAR. REVIEW!! This year, not so much!! Hooray for being licensed.. even though I have no idea what ot do wiht it right now! lol!

Hump Day

1. I feel like a housewife without the house... or the husband...
2. I went to a temp agency today.. where I got to take a standardized test including putting things in alpha order, using correct grammar, and oh yeah.. long division. I felt like a rockstar.
3. The temping thing jumpstarted my actual jobsearching which had kinda hit a wall.. and I fired off 4 resumes when I got home.
4. My cell phone is being annoying and isnt receiving all my calls. I have messages that it's not telling me I got, etc.. ARG!!! Buuuuut.. I DID negotiate with Sprint and got them to wipe 100 bucks off my bill and give me credit for June AND July.. Gah.. I hate to negotiate, but I guess I'm pretty good at it.. Rock!
5. Pablo (the fish) is kinda trippin out.. I dont know if I drugged him with too much chlorine in his water or what, but everytime I approach, he acts like he's starving and swims around furiously. I cant feed him all the time, though, or he'll explode! Sheez. The fish has bulimia. Great. My fish binges and purges.
6. I think I'm going to Rock n Roll yoga again on Friday.. It's 10 bucks and they have all the mats, etc.. If you wanna come, it's at 5:30 and it's the best workout I've ever had. Seriously. Think about it.
7. Australia's Next Top Model is slightly addicting. Just sayin. Oh, and what's up with Lindsay Lohan being number 1 on Maxim's Hot 100? Lame.
8. Did you watch the show Traveler last week after Grey's? I dvr-ed it, but didnt think it looked that good. I watched it today and am HOOKED!! I really like it!! It's like Prison Break with a law student!
9. I heard who wins the Bachelor b/c she slipped up after a few too many drinky drinks. I dont know whether to believe it or not...
10. Lost tonight had better be good and not feature mysterious invisible characters again. *sigh* Jaccccccoooooob.... Right.
11. Ever played Bocce ball? Curious.
12. I'm going to Palm Springs next weekend and I am soooooooooooooooooooooo ready!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :) Wanna do my laundry for me before I go?

Why TU sucks DOT COM

So, I get home from the gym.. and see that I have a letter from a law firm. I think "huh?" Well.. it's regarding a debt I apparently owe TU in the form of 59.19. YES, PEOPLE. THAT'S IT. I attended TU for SEVEN years.. SEVEN.. undergrad.. and law school.. and graduated LAST MAY.. paid in full. Okay.. so the fact that this has even GONE to a law firm already is pissing me off for 50 dollars. I called teh law firm.. who has no answers.. Then, I called TU.. who told me.. that I got a PARKING TICKET at the apartments in OCTOBER 2006.. yes.. that's right folks, AFTER I HAD ALREADY GRADUATED! I was visiting AARON for crying out loud.. So.. since they couldnt find me (since Im not a student anymore), they opted to send the debt to a LAW. FIRM. So.. now if I dont pay it, it will go on my CREDIT. REPORT. I called TU and very sharply explained that I had better hear something back tomorrow morning regarding the resolution or things wont be pretty.

Then, I called the law firm.. and get this.. now that it's gone THIS FAR the only way I can make it go away is to write a letter.. to the law firm.. disputing the charge.. then TU has the chance to rebut it.. then and only then it MIGHT go away. I am so freaking livid right now. TU cant get ANY of their shit together despite being the most expensive university in the state. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *AGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH********

Do you not LOVE these??!!! Steve Cluck designed them and they sell at Dwelling Spaces in T-town!! Although Im not working at the boutique, I myspaced Theresa (the owner) to tell her she HAS to carry them!!! Ah, the boutique... I need more cash.. and well.. I just didnt feel it was fair for her to train me, give me security access, etc, then maybe take another job if I get it. Soooo.. I have an appt with a temping agency on Wed morning. I think that might be more sensible while I'm interviewing and in-between stuff. But, I made a new friend in the boutique owner, Theresa! The store is SO awesome and it's called Hearts & Dragonflies. It's at 86th and Harvard. She just moved here with her daughter and hubby from Florida in December and opened the store! They carry local artwork, American designs.. everything from paintings to purses!! They even have some really cool "wish" necklaces that have a single pearl on a string. You make a wish on the pearl and then when you wear the string out, the pearl falls off.. and your wish comes true. I think stuff like that is freaking cool. They had different stones and sayings in those necklaces, but jsut cool stuff.. They carry awesome gifts like silver coffee scoops designed by a local artist, luggage tags with funny sayings like "You wouldnt look good in my clothes" ...you get the idea. Fun, quirky, unique by trendy stuff. I'm advertising for her. Go shop there.. NOW.. If you need a hostess gift or other unique stuff, go visit her!! :) (and it's affordable for the most part.. the silver coffee scoops were like 20 bucks)

So, today was rather productive in that Sarah and I did dinner (HOORAY) and then Blaze and I ran/walked LaFortune. Today was more like walking, but whatever...

The weekend!

Sooooooooo.... I get to post about an exciting weekend to kinda make myself feel like Im not so totally bored with life during the week while you all are doing those things that pay you... "jobs" or whatever.. *sarcastic sigh* :)

Slide show includes two things:
Saturday: I went to Lindsey's wedding.. We went to law school together. Lots of people from my law class came in town for the wedding.. from everywhere! It seems like my class kinda scattered after graduation since bar review starts the Monday after graduation, so it was great to see everyone from CO, TX, FL...:) Since Lindsey WAS "Ms. Jackson" (as the profs call you by your last name in law school when calling on you), she and husband, Matt, walked hand in hand from the altar to the tune "I'm sorry Ms. Jackson (oooooooh) I am FOR REAAAAAL." It made everyone laugh hysterically... Awesome.. :) Anyway, wedding was at the Dresser Mansion and was gorgeous.. seriously.. :)

Sunday: Maureen, Kelli, Laura, and I went to the Renaissance Faire in Muskogee!! It was so fun!! I didnt know what I was getting myself into, but we had a blast...and got to see some..um..some interesting people.. I think all the workers have to talk in accents and it kinda creeps ya out after awhile, but hey.. it's rare to see jousting in Oklahoma. :) As a group, I think we ate ourselves into oblivian, took some crazy pictures and got lost in a maze made for 7 year olds.. No, really we did. :)

Then, you'll see the below post, but mom and I had a great Mother's Day!! :) She's fabulous... If I had a zillion moms, she's still be my fav! :)

Okay, so I've learned lots of things in my short 25 years.... like..
1. If someone offers you gum, you should seriously take it... It's likely a hint.
2. Bargain Books at Borders/Barnes and Noble are the best thing ever.. well.. they're at least pretty damn good
3. Metabolisms seriously DO slow down in your mid twenties. Whatever.
4. Friends are some of life's greatest gifts...and often become more like family than some actual family. :)
5. Tanning is bad for you. Yes, I admit it. I am working though this slight addiction b/c I have recently noticed wrinkles. I can have pale skin and no wrinkles. Took me 25 years, but hey.. I'm coming around..
6. My mom cares about me more than...um....pretty much anyone in the world... and I her... :) So, we went to dinner tonight then went to see In the Land of Women (Meg Ryan). :) Great movie. Seriously. :) I recommend.. but you'll cry. Well, you'll cry unless you're a heartless bastard. lol! :O)

Duct taping cars and breasts...

Things:
1. Put my loans into forbearance today b/c of the whole unemployment thing. Boo. :( I know lots of people that had theirs in it already...but.. I was trying to pay them. It was just stupid to bleed cash to the government when I dont have a job, though. Still sad.. even though there's no penalty for it. Blah. Did you know that its a fee to put your loans in forbearance? Yeah..it is.. kinda stupid to pay a fee in order to stop paying a fee. Whatever.
2. Who knew a battery and steel wool made fire? Thanks Inferno III.
3. CONGRATS to Aaron, Maureen, Kelli and Rod for being DONE WITH LAW SCHOOL TODAY!!!!!! :)
4. I'm having doggie withdrawl. I really want one. But, it's selfish and stupid to get one now, right?? Right. Just keep telling me that.
5. What is this RAIN?! Sheez!! Go away, rain!!!!!!!!!!!!! The rain is affecting the duct tape on my car. Seriously. (insert frowny face)
6. Speaking of duct tape, I am amazed at how many males arent aware that females duct tape their breasts in some dresses, shirts, etc.. I mean. c'mon.. you've done it, girls, right? Whatever.
7. I wanna see a movie. Come with me? :)
8. With all my friends graduating, I'm thinking of gifts, etc.. So.. what's your fav graduation gift you've gotten/given? Curious.
